In spite of providing immunity to millions and millions of Indians, Bharat Biotech was not spared by propaganda portals like ‘The Wire’. But the company has refused to get browbeaten. It has now got approval straight from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Covaxin approved for clinical trial in USA
Bharat Biotech has reiterated that it is committed to roll out its Covid-19 vaccines in USA and Canada. The company will take care of vaccine requirement for all age groups in the American continent. Ocugen Inc. is the company’s US and Canadian partner for its vaccine called Covaxin.
The Hyderabad based multinational company informed that USFDA has approved Covaxin for Phase 2/3 Investigational Drug Application for conducting clinical trials in adults. Apparently, USA is asking companies to conduct their clinical trials in their country before they could roll out their vaccines. On March 4, they had refused to issue an Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) for Covaxin for the age group from 2 to 18 years.
“Ocugen intends to continue working with FDA to evaluate regulatory pathways for the pediatric use of Covaxin” said Bharat Biotech.

Big milestone for Bharat Biotech
The permission to conduct clinical trials has come as a major victory for Bharat Biotech, which is fighting an unnecessary perception battle, both inside as well as outside India. Media houses with vested interests like The Wire, The Hindu, Deccan Herald, Times Group have continuously peddled propaganda against the company.
However, Bharat Biotech decided to take the matter to legal arena. They filed a 100 crore defamation suit against, ‘The Wire’, and the Court is to pronounce a judgment on March 16 this year. Meanwhile, the Ranga Reddy District Court in Hyderabad on 23rd February ordered the fake news portal to take down the 14 malicious articles it had published on its website within 48 hours.

Covaxin is not the only one haunting left-wing publications
Facing bias and propaganda is not new for Indian vaccines. Ask the makers of Covishield for reference. Used more than 1.4 billion times to inoculate people, the makers of Covishield to fight a long battle before being accepted in western countries like USA, UK and European Union Nations. Modi Government’s diplomatic and strategic clout had a bigger role to play in it.

By February 28, more than 28 crore of Covaxin doses have been administered in India. Interestingly, No major side effect related to the vaccine has been reported as well. However, various media portals have continued to defame Made in India vaccines. We hope the narrative will change after FDA’s approval.
No matter how many billions of dollars they pour into mainstream media propaganda outlets like Wire, at the end of the day, everyone SHOULD know that the mainstream-media always has been and will remain completely untrustworthy.
