This is only the beginning dear liberals

The Kashmir Files

The Kashmir Files got almost negligible promotions. Sure, the makers of the film released a high-impact, no-holds barred and unapologetic trailer – which has garnered over 2.4 crore views so far. However, the ecosystem was completely against the movie. Yet, despite multiple obstacles,  Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ is proving to be a blockbuster hit, and now even PM Modi seems to be supportive of the same.

‘The Kashmir Files’ has exceeded expectations, and is witnessing continuous houseful shows in all major cities. In fact, across all big cities in India, people are now finding it difficult to get hold of tickets to watch the film. Initially, according to some media reports, The Kapil Sharma Show refused to promote the heart-wrenching movie. But that has not stopped it from becoming a superhit. In five days, the film has earned more than 50 crore rupees at the Box Office. To top it all, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has won a very powerful and influential personality to promote the film.

PM Modi Puts his Weight Behind ‘The Kashmir Files’

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ “reveal the truth” and stated that there has been a “conspiracy” to discredit it. He said, “Instead of assessing the film on the basis of facts and truth, a campaign is on to discredit it. The whole ecosystem opposes anyone who tries to show the truth.”

The Prime Minister also said, “They only try to project what they want to see as truth. The conspiracy for the last few days is to ensure that no one sees the truth. My issue is not about a film, but about bringing the truth in its correct form before the country.”

Speaking at the BJP parliamentary party meeting in Delhi, PM Modi directed BJP MPs to “stand for truth” and said, “It is the responsibility of those who stand for truth to stand for this as well. I hope that everyone will fulfil this.”

A Leader Not Afraid to State the Truth

Any other political leader, especially of his stature, would have maintained an arm’s length of distance from the film in question. Prime Minister Modi, however, not only met with the makers of ‘The Kashmir Files’, but also spoke boldly in support of the movie.

It was a pleasure to meet our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji.
What makes it more special is his appreciation and noble words about #TheKashmirFiles.
We've never been prouder to produce a film.
Thank you Modi Ji 🙏 @narendramodi @vivekagnihotri #ModiBlessedTKF 🛶 pic.twitter.com/H91njQM479

The Kashmir Files states the truth as is. There is no secular turn to the film. It shows the true side of Islamists, and how they committed a genocide against Kashmir’s Hindu and minority population. So far, no film has shown the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits without sugar-coating it with loads of fiction and fake camaraderie which simply did not exist in the Kashmir of the 90s.

In fact, PM Modi even went on to call on filmmakers to show Indians the horrors of Partition and the Emergency. He said, “History has to be presented in the right context before the society from time to time. Just as books, poetry and literature play a role in this, in the same way even films can also do so.”

It must be remembered that the gang of liberals and Islamists have unleashed all their might against The Kashmir Files, and are trying to get it off the big screens in India. While liberals are trying to sabotage the film in subtle ways, Islamists have been more forthcoming. Hussain Saeed, originally from Uttar Pradesh and currently living in Mumbai, had filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court, asking the court to ban the film, saying that the film shows Muslims killing Kashmiri Pandits. The PIL further alleged that the incidents in the film have been shown in a one-sided manner, due to which anger can arise among Hindus thereby affecting the law and order in the country.

The PIL was junked by the Bombay High Court.

With Prime Minister Modi endorsing ‘The Kashmir Files’, there is a high likelihood that the film will turn into a record-breaker. More and more Indians will now flock to the theatres to watch the film, and the plight of Kashmiri Hindus will finally find an audience across the country and the world.

By calling the victims as “Kashmiri Pandits’ or “Kashmiri Hindus”, everyone commits a fundamental mistake. Call them Hindus of Kashmir or better still, just Hindus. The word Kashmir indicates and limits the person to Kashmir. The word Pandit indicates Brahmin caste and does not inspire any sympathy or empathy. The main reason for their plight is their habit of restricting themselves to their caste only in all fields of work and endeavour. Let every Hindu be treated equally .Let every Hindu talk about Kashmir as the problem of their own flesh and blood. The same pogroms continue in many parts of India in a different manner which is apparently socially acceptable .
