Karthick Naren Biography and Career
Karthick Naren is a brilliant director in the Tamil film industry who has won numerous awards for his short films. He started his career from short films, eventually started to create full feature films. In 2016, he entered the big screen as a director and his debut feature film was Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru that was initially unsuccessful on release but became a success later on.
Kathick was born on July 23, 1994 in Ooty, Tamil Nadu and raised in Coimbatore by his parents MNG Mani and Saradha Mani.
Career
At the age of 22, Karthick Naren made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed and financially successful thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Knight Nostalgia Filmotainment, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’s home banner, financed the film. The film became one of Tamil cinema’s highest-grossing debut films after reaching 100 days in theaters. The film established Naren as one of Tamil cinema’s most promising directors.
Naragasooran, Naren’s sophomore film, features an ensemble cast. Arvind Swamy, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishan, and Indrajith star in the film, which was shot in 41 days. Shraddha Entertainment’s Badri Kasturi is producing Naragasooran. The film has yet to be released in theaters.
Naadaga Medai, under his company Knight Nostalgia Filmotainment, and an untitled project starring S.T.R., both produced by Vijaya Productions, are among Karthick Naren’s next projects.
Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan star in Karthick Naren’s next film, Maaran. He also directed the piece “Project Agni” as part of Maniratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan’s Netflix anthology web series Navarasa.
Controversy
On the day of the release of his film Maaran, filmmaker Karthick Naren sent a cryptic message on Instagram. He wrote. “Rightu. Unmaiya aprom solraen means Later, I’ll tell you the truth!!!” The Instagram picture is thought to be a reference to the recent issue surrounding Karthick’s feud with leading actor Dhanush. On Twitter, there were rumours of the director being insulted on set, among other things.
Karthick has not attended any Maaran publicity events and has not spoken about the film or its OTT release. Since the rumours began, this is the director’s first statement regarding the picture.
Maaran premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on March 11 and is now available to watch. Malavika Mohanan, Ramki, and Smruthi Venkat also star in the film.
Education
Karthick Naren attended Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School for his education. He went on to Kumaraguru College of Technology to study Mechanical Engineering. He dropped out of his mechanical engineering study in his third year to pursue a career in filmmaking.
