Vaishali Singh, a former UPSC top performer, is now an inspiration to many young aspirants aspiring to join the prestigious ranks of IAS officers. Vaishali attended Delhi Public School in Faridabad and graduated with honors.

Education
IAS Vaishali Singh was a hardworking student who was born and raised in Faridabad. In her class 10 Board exams (2009), she received 95.8%, and in her class twelfth Board exams, she received 95.8%. (2011).
She subsequently went on to the famous National Law University in New Delhi, where she completed a five-year combined BA-LLB programme. Vaishali comes from a family of attorneys, and she has always wanted to be a lawyer since she was a child.
Vaishali received six gold medals and a monetary reward during her tenure at NLU. She earned a superb 7.58 CGPA out of a possible eight when she graduated from university in 2016. She came in second place overall in her class.
IAS Vaishali Singh Career
Vaishali had already begun preparing herself for a profession in law throughout her time at university. Within her five years at NLU, she performed six internships, according to her extensive LinkedIn profile.
She worked as an intern with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Death Penalty Research Project, Advani & Co., Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, Amarchand and Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co., and S & R Associates.
Vaishali successfully converted her last internship with S & R Associates into a full-time employment after completing her education.
She began her professional career with S & R Associates as an Associate in 2016. But she quickly began studying for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Strategy for UPSC exams
For starters, she concentrated on NCERT books and two or three fundamental books for each topic in preparation for the exam.
She also read newspapers every day and studied year-end collections of current events and government programmes for current affairs.
Then, for both of her optional papers, she had chosen two Law Papers.
The significance of answer writing was discussed in our previous post.
She, too, believes that the most significant aspect of the IAS main exam is response writing.
Before the prelims exam, she practiced answer writing everyday.
She also prepared for her main exam by taking 25 to 27 practice examinations.
In addition, while studying for the mains, she focused mostly on essay writing.
She read from the previous year’s toppers to prepare for the essay paper.
She also developed a list of ten to twelve subjects for the essay that she thought were important for the exam.
She used to study for nine to twelve hours every day, but she took breaks on a regular basis.
She also studied previous year’s question papers and took a number of mock tests for both the prelims and the main exam.
