Eight-time Grand Slam champion former American tennis player Jimmy Connors, recognizing the utility of COVAXIN against Covid-19, has urged US Food and Drug Administration to approve it.

The US witnessing record surge in Covid
The US, on the 31st of December, shattered its record and recorded a total of 5,80,000 fresh Covid cases in a day. Witnessing record-breaking numbers of infections in the US, its chief medical adviser has warned of an “unprecedented” surge in Covid-19 cases.
Anthony Fauci, Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, reported, “If you look at the uptick, it is actually almost a vertical increase. There’s no doubt about it, the acceleration of cases that we have seen is really unprecedented, gone well beyond anything we have seen before.”
