Sahu started her career as a model and later worked on various web series and movies. In 2021, Meenal Sahu made her acting debut in the Tamil film Irandam Kuthu (Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu 2) as the female lead. Santhosh P. Jayakumar and Daniel Annie Pope wrote and directed Irandam Kuththu, a 2020 Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film starring Meenal Sahu, Karishma Kaul, and Akrithi Singh. The film was released on November 14, 2020, and garnered mixed reviews from reviewers and audiences. It is a spiritual sequel to the director’s earlier Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (2018).

She appeared on the AltBalaji web series titled “Main Hero Boll Raha Hu,” and the actress won her fans over with her role as Mumtaz. Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu is an Indian Hindi-language gangster thriller web series that is available on ZEE5 and ALTBalaji.
