Bajrang Dal organises a rally in mini-Pakistan Mewat and Islamists lose their mind

Bajrang Dal Rally Mewat Islamists

Whenever Hindus of the country try to take up their constitutional rights in-country, Islamists lose their mind and launch an all-out propaganda assault on them. A similar trend was observed when they tried to paint Bajrang Dal in a negative light for their rally in Mewat.

United Hindus’ car rally in Mewat

On December 12, 2021, members of the Bajrang Dal organized a car rally in solidarity with their Hindu brothers and sisters living in the district. According to reports available in the public domain, a total of 500 cars carrying Hindus were present in the rally. They were chanting victory for Bhagwan Ram and Hindu unity.

Jeet Vashisht, a prominent Bajrang Dal member went live on social media to showcase Hindu unity. In the viral video, Vashisht is seen announcing that his peers have reached Singar, a place where Bhagwan Krishna did his adornment. Vashisht also revealed that he had been getting various threats warning him of not entering Mewat. Staying firm on his resolve, he said, “We are not as weak as you (Muslims) think. We are not scared of your messages and comments,”

Islamists tried to communalise the rally

Meanwhile, Islamists tried to paint this unity rally in a negative light. Maktoobmedia did a long story based on Vashisht’s video and self-claimed on-ground reporting. In their story, they exclaimed that Haryana Police did not do anything to stop the rally. However, they went on to cite Police and said that Police were aware of the rally and had also made security arrangements.

The report then proceeds to talk about a village in Mewat. Citing villagers’ testimonies given to Maktoobmedia tried to portray that Muslims are being victimized in the region. A villager named Mustafa said that whenever Bajrang Dal organises a rally, Muslims get deep heartburn. Quoting another villager Hafis, the reporter tried to claim that a Hindu unity rally is a precursor to violence against Muslims.

Mewat-A Muslim dominated region with the lowest level of human development in India

Mewat is infamous for being a hub of radical Islamists. It is a Muslim majority district. The village of Nuh is infamous for being a hub of organised crime activities including cattle smuggling, sheltering illegal immigrants, and attacking police personnel for carrying out their duties. The radicalization of Mewat can be gauged from the fact that it became one of the main areas where illegal Rohingyas ran for shelter.

Recently when PM Modi announced to increase girls’ marriageable age from 18 to 21, Islamists in the region hurried to marry off their daughters before government finalizes the modalities of implementation.

In 2018, Niti Aayog named Mewat district as the most underdeveloped district in the country. In Niti Aayog ‘s index, the district scored lowest in health and nutrition, education, agriculture, and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development, and basic infrastructure. All these scores clearly indicate the prevalence of female exploitation by Islamists in the district. It would have been better if Islamists would bring out real issues of backwardness in Mewat, rather than focus on a non-controversial solidarity rally.
