Swarna Thomas, also known as Swarna, is a Malayalam Indian actress. She is 26 years old (May 25, 1995) born in Raigad, Maharashtra, India.

She is also a dancer and learned to dance just by watching dance shows on TV. Her parents encouraged her and ignited her passion for music and dance. At the age of 10, she participated in the Maharashtra State Dance Competition. After that, she was seen in dance competition shows like “Dance India Dance” and “Chak Dhoom Dhoom”, where she proved to be a tough competitor.
She was chosen from among the top 28 contestants. At the age of 13, Swarna Thomas won the dance reality show called “Super Dancer Junior 2” which aired on Amritha TV, a south Indian dance reality show. This victory changed her life forever. Swarna has been invited to dance in various prestigious shows, as well as other reality shows, which has put her under the radar of many directors and producers. After that, she marked the ladder of success with film projects such as “Flat No.4B”, “Queue”, “Buddy” and “Pranayakatha“. She is also part of several Tamil films.

Accident
Swarna Thomas made headlines few years ago in November, 2013 for her fall from the fifth floor of her apartment. After the accident Swarna spoke to media and said that “The moment the doctor declared that I had serious injuries to my spine and pelvis, I felt my spirits sink, as if it was all over. I was wondering if I could walk again, let alone dance or play.
The same doctor has now told me that I will be able to lead a normal life in about a month after the sessions. physiotherapy completed.” There were rumors that Swarna Thomas had not fallen but had jumped off the balcony implying that it was attempted suicide. To answer such rumors the actress replied “If it wasn’t an accident, I wouldn’t be living now, believe me. I was meant to survive, and I did, God saved me. ”
What actually happened was Swarna was sick with dengue fever and was resting at home. She narrated the whole incident and told the media “My younger brother and I were watching TV in our apartment. After a while I went to the balcony to get some fresh air and stepped out onto the balcony not knowing the railing was broken.

It was raining and the ground was slippery. Next thing I knew, I had fallen from the fifth floor to the concrete floor below. I was conscious all the time, but I couldn’t speak. I felt like everything was broken. A girl from the neighborhood saw me and informed my parents. I remember they asked me how I fell.”
Swarna Thomas was immediately taken to hospital, where she was treated for a month and a half. It took her five months to fully recover. The actress further added “The reason I live today is that my head has not been injured. Now I can walk, but I am still in physiotherapy. It was while I was in the hospital that my movie, Buddy, came out. It made me feel even more depressed at the time because I couldn’t attend any of the promotional events.”
Meanwhile, there were also rumors that Swarna’s family was struggling to cover the costs of her treatment, with many readers asking her readers to support her financially. However, the actress says her family never asked for financial help from anyone.
“Actor Dileep and Nadirsha helped us financially, of their own free will; We’re not asking anyone for money, as far as I’m concerned, it’s a second life for me. The experience filled me with a lot of positive energy and confidence, I’m going to have fun again.” says the dancer turned actress.
