Rucha Inamdar is an Indian actress known for her charismatic performances who predominantly appears in Hindi movies and series on OTT platforms.
Rucha Inamdar – Film Career
She has acted in Children of War (2014) and Under the Same Sun (2015). In 2017, she made her commercial film debut in the Marathi language film Bhikari, alongside Swwapnil Joshi, directed by Ganesh Acharya. Rucha Inamdar made her debut in a digital web series on Criminal Justice (Indian series) as Avni, and her performance received widespread recognition.
The series was launched in Disney+ hotstar directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia, written by Shridhar Raghavan. She has performed in Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi languages and has a theatrical background. Rucha has played leading roles in Bhikari (2017), Children of War (2014), Under the Same Sun (2015), Moh Dia Tandhaa (2017) (Punjabi), Wedding Cha Shinema (2019) and Operation Parindey (2020) and Not Today (2020).
Rucha Inamdar has also performed in over 60 television commercials alongside superstars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, John Abraham, and has been directed by acclaimed directors including Shoojit Sircar, Anurag Kashyap, Pradeep Sarkar, Gauri Shinde, Ram Madhvani, Vinil Mathew, Prasoon Pandey, Anupam Mishra, Prakash Varma and many more.

Rucha is a dentist by profession and completed her graduation from ACPM College of Dentistry, Dhule, Maharashtra. Rucha Inamdar is a Latin ballroom dancer and Kathak trained.

Rucha Inamdar – personal life
Rucha’s father was a little skeptical when she told him about her decision to dabble in acting, but her mother motivated her because she knew her daughter was confident. The young woman says that she has only had one bad experience in which a filmmaker who acted strangely with her, signaling her to sit next to him when she had gone to join him for a role. Rucha Inamdar understood immediately and apologized. “I am sensitive to vibes,” and understood the situation and got out of there.
In an interview she said that so far the web show ‘Criminal Justice’ (in which she played Avni Sharma Parashar) served her well, but the best is yet to come. “So yeah, the game changer hasn’t come yet.” She also speaks fondly of the big stars and says they don’t try too hard to make her presence felt. “They own the space when they arrive at a certain place.”
Rucha points out that nowadays, talent has become secondary and the presence on social networks is paramount. She has made a movie ‘Not Today’ with Harsh Chhaya (in which she plays a 24-year-old who tries to save a 66-year-old man played by Chhaya from committing suicide) that earned her an award at a film festival in Ottawa . She has also made a movie with Pankaj Kapur. In both companies, the cast consists mainly of two people. Not only that, Rucha Inamdar has also made a relatively large movie that she can’t talk about at the moment, but is really important in terms of cast and canvas, the modalities of which are being worked out, and a web series produced by a great actor.
