‘Kufr Toot Gaya, victory of Islam’ How Pakistan and its Indian brothers celebrated Pak’s Cricket victory

The Indian cricket team on Sunday (October 24) was humiliated by the Pakistan cricket team in its opening match of the T20 World Cup in Dubai. The win also meant that India lost its invincible record against the cross-border neighbours. While the defeat, as bitter as it may be is a tough pill to swallow, what cannot be allowed to slide by is the communal statements made by Pakistani commentator Bazid Khan and captain Babar Azam who nodded and agreed to the former’s statements.

Reportedly, in the post-match presentation, Bazid Khan, a commentator with the ICC was interviewing Babar where he termed Pakistan’s victory over India as “kuffar to toot gaya”. Upon hearing the statement, Azam smiled and replied, “Ye to Allah ka karam hai” (It’s by Allah’s grace).

"Pak defeated India. 'Kuffar to toot gaya'. Yes, it's all coz of Allah"

– ICC official post-match presenter and Pak captain Babur Azam celebrate win against 'Kafirs' in official ICC ceremony.

Kuffar tootna = faith/trait of non-Muslims has been destroyed.pic.twitter.com/39nZ6DghZ2

— Pakistan Untold (@pakistan_untold) October 24, 2021

It is pertinent to note that “Kufr tootna” means that the faith of a non-Muslim, an ‘infidel’ — has been destroyed. The phrase subtly insinuates that the idol worshippers, i.e. Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists and their faith has been destroyed.

Islamists tend to look down upon the kaafirs who indulge in idol worshipping. Those who disagree, reject or do not accept any of the commands by Allah and by Muhammad Prophet should be set in place and that is what “Kufr tootna” in its essence means

https://twitter.com/Iyervval/status/1452345348681199618

It was only an idiom: Liberals

Some liberals and seculars have already started to twist the narrative by stating that Bazid merely repeated an Islamic idiom. However, the underlying theme and his delivery suggest that it wasn’t exactly the case. Additionally, with the history of non-Muslim hatred amongst the radical Islamists, it would be naive if this incident is allowed to go unchecked, especially when BCCI controls the major revenue stream of ICC.

Meanwhile, Islamic leaders in Pakistan, buoyed by the victory against an Indian side in almost an eternity claimed that it was a victory of the entire Islamic world. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed too to share the video where he remarked, “Saari aalam-e-Islam ko fateh mubarak” (Congratulations to the entire Islamic world for the win).

— Sheikh Rashid Ahmed (@ShkhRasheed) October 24, 2021

The law of averages was bound to catch up and Pakistan sooner or later would have won a game against India. But the principles that should be the cornerstone of a proud Indian side were missing. The side looked toothless, uninspired, jaded, and ginger in its approach.

Celebration of India’s defeat in India

The celebrations were not only limited to Pakistan. Some anti-nationals in India also celebrated the defeat of the Indian cricket team. Muslim dominated areas in Delhi, Kashmir and some other states observed the defeat of team India as an excuse to celebrate the rival’s victory.

From Delhi, Aviral Sharma, tweeted, “This video is from Delhi’s Seemapuri area. Save this video. Next time you call us communal, WATCH IT.”

(Celebration of Pakistan’s victory, is this why Kashmir demands Special Status? Thank you Modi ji for abolishish Article 370.)

@drmonika_langeh reported the celebrations in MBBS and PG students of SKIMS Medical College Srinagar, Kashmir. She tweeted, “They are MBBS and PG students of SKIMS Medical college Srinagar, Kashmir .They are celebrating the victory of Paki$tan over India.Shame on Traitor$ and we are Facing this behaviour of Mu$lims of Kashmir since College Time .They are persuing free MBBS degree from GoI.”

— Dr.Monika Langeh (@drmonika_langeh) October 24, 2021

Not only the above miscreants but Delhi’s Congress’ national media coordinator Radhika Khera mocked the Team India supporters and tweeted, “क्यों भक्तों, आ गया स्वाद? करवा ली बेइज़्ज़ती ???” (Yes, supporters, did you like it? How does it feel like to be humiliated?)

क्यों भक्तों, आ गया स्वाद ?

करवा ली बेइज़्ज़ती ???

— Radhika Khera (@Radhika_Khera) October 24, 2021

The issue is not who won, the matter of concern is the group of such nuances who tend to prioritise their propaganda over the nation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan looked hungry and they capped off the victory by launching ‘Kuffar’ slurs. So much so for it being just a game of cricket, right? BCCI should take note and ask ICC to reprimand Bazid Khan.

Time and again muslims have proved they are not loyal to their country. Yet several foolish Hindus ,also known as seculars, don’t want to hurt the sentiments of their fellow muslims.

Hello Govt at center, enough is enough and just filing FIR’s are not enough and we demand anti India sloganeering students admission should be cancelled, should be barred from government jobs and this should serve as a message and set a precedence for all future traitors.
Indians gave full majority to BJP for not maintaining silence to all atrocities committing against India and Hindus and your silence is considered as acceptance of the anti India actions by the traitors. If central Govt continues to stay silent, people will keep you in the opposition that you deserve.
