Delhi Court sends Islamoleftists into mourning over Sharjeel Imam case

Sharjeel Imam, Delhi Court

Islamoleftists’ attempt to garner media headlines by creating disharmony in India’s populace has been dealt a severe blow by the country’s judiciary. Sharjeel Imam, one of the poster boys of liberal media is to languish in jail for a much longer time than he ever expected.

Court denies bail to Sharjeel Imam

A session court in Delhi has dismissed the bail plea of one of the key pillars of ‘tukde-tukde gang,’ Sharjeel Imam. Additional session judge, Anuj Agarwal confirmed the negative effect of Sharjeel’s speech on the communal harmony of the country. “A cursory and plain reading of the speech dated 13.12.2019 reveals that same is clearly on communal/divisive lines. In my view, the tone and tenor of the incendiary speech tend to have a debilitating effect upon public tranquility, peace, and harmony of the society,” the Court said.

Rights, rights and rights; but where are your responsibilities?

The court’s pronouncements also gave an insight into liberals’ illogical insistence on rights without playing any responsible role in society. Honourable Judge noted that everyone has the fundamental right to speak under Article 19 of the constitution. However, mentioning fundamental duties under Article 51A, the court said that freedom of speech and expression cannot be exercised at the cost of communal peace and harmony in the society.

After considering both prosecution’s and defence’s views, the court denied him bail for the charges of sedition and promoting enmity among religious groups. Denying the bail, the court also quoted Swami Vivekanand, “We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.”

Liberals love for the tukde-tukde gang resurfaces

Meanwhile, as the news of Sharjeel’s bail surfaced, the liberals’ meltdown started on various social media platforms.

A wannabe politician (probably) and a Radio Jockey, RJ Sayema of Radio Mirchi was quick to present her half-researched views on Twitter regarding the case. Forgetting, or possibly ignoring Sharjeel’s speech in which he advocated for dividing northeast from India, she castigated law enforcement agencies for keeping him in jail, because, according to her, he only spoke on ‘chakka jam’.

Travesty of times we live in!
This is not the India we have grown up in.
Sharjeel merely spoke about ‘chakka jam’ and is in jail, when it’s happening all the time including #FarmersProtest
Different laws for different people clearly.
Ambassadors of hate are being rewarded.Sad. https://t.co/WKz2VvyaqG

— Sayema (@_sayema) October 22, 2021

Kavita Krishna, a well-known CPIML politburo member, was found running a charity for Sharjeel and co-conspirators on social media.

Please help students collect the funds needed to cover bail bonds for their friends and comrades of Jamia Millia Islamia who are being re-victimised by Delhi Police for anti-CAA protests. Please contribute as generously as you can. https://t.co/PMAFq1NXaR

— Kavita Krishnan (@kavita_krishnan) October 22, 2021

She accused the well-trained judge of contradicting himself for denying the bail to Sharjeel.

The court contradicts itself. How can someone be jailed for a speech (any speech) alone (i.e, that did not instigate violence)? Also, courts need to tell us why Sharjeel's speech that advocated a chakka jam "tends to" threaten peace while "Goli Maaro" doesn't? #FreeSharjeel https://t.co/SUyhrFrM0Q

— Kavita Krishnan (@kavita_krishnan) October 22, 2021

The communist feminist also looked puzzled about the hierarchy of the court system in India and misinformed social media about no oversight on the lower courts by the Supreme Court.

are they answerable to anybody? is there any judicial oversight body that reviews such judgements? Does the SC have a role in ensuring uniform application of the law? https://t.co/n5Z12xfsV0

— chandrashekaran (@shekar1234) October 22, 2021

Apparently, the author also managed to draw a hypothetical link between Aryan Khan’s case and that of Sharjeel Imam’s.

Also, in Aryan's case & Sharjeel's what's this new kind of jurisprudence where bail is denied for what impact your speech DID NOT have but might "tend to" have; or for something you DID NOT do (i.e consume your friend's drugs) but something you MIGHT or COULD do? Judicial Joke https://t.co/OKR9UKixuE

— Kavita Krishnan (@kavita_krishnan) October 22, 2021

She also retweeted one of the tweets of a journalist, who accused the independent court of being ‘remote-controlled’.

Are the courts being remote-controlled?
Nothing else explains the irony of the decision.
On the second question, you really don't expect the courts to do a mea culpa by accepting their judgments are colored by the religion of the accused.#FreeSharjeel https://t.co/r3MSISuISh

— Abhishek G. Bhaya अभिषेक অভিষেক ابھیشک 加冕礼 (@abhishekbhaya) October 22, 2021

Indira Jaisingh, a veteran lawyer who attempted to ‘inform’ Indian judges on the definition of national and anti-national said that the bail denial can be appealed. However, she did not seem to agree with the court’s insistence on denying the bail to Sharjeel.

Right Kavita it was speech unaccompanied by and violence , moreover the court acknowledges the speech itself is sketchy , fit case for appeal but meanwhile Liberty lost https://t.co/CntSzee4Ib

— Indira Jaising (@IJaising) October 22, 2021

A Twitterati @Fatima_Z0hra hilariously opined that Sharjeel and his JNU colleagues are alone and accused that the government is trying to please the majority by putting him in Jail.

Everybody is pained to see #SRK's son #AryanKhan (he'll be out eventually) but there's Shahrukh Pathan's,Najeeb's,Sharjeel's, Gulfisha's & so on-whose parents're fighting a lonely battle where pricks are ready to put the blame on them to please collective conscience of majority.

— Fatima Zohra Khan (@Fatima_Z0hra) October 20, 2021

Sharjeel-A Jinnah in the making if not controlled

As reported by the TFI, Sharjeel Imam was one of the masterminds behind anti-CAA protests and riots in the country. He was trying to establish an Islamic state in India and had no qualms in breaking the geographical integrity of Bharat. Once he had urged his brethren to cut off north-eastern states from India. Despite his anti-national remarks, Sharjeel is widely supported by the left-liberal media like NDTV and The Wire, who call him and many others like him activists.

Read more: Sharjeel was just the puppet. The Puppeteer was BadruddinAjmal. And his sinister anti-India plan is exposed

It is ironic that the same people who speak of problems faced by Rohingyas and other illegal immigrants have no qualms in forcing Indians into the same rabbit hole. While, the horrors of partition are still afresh in the minds of many Indians, any attempt to break India should not be tolerated by anyone. The court’s decision should be a lesson for the people who are working hard to break the sovereignty and integrity of India.
