Like Indian Premier League (IPL), The full form of CPL is Caribbean Premier League (CPL or CPLT20) is associate degree annual Twenty20 cricket tournament that happens within the Caribbean. History of CPL
It was based by Cricket West Indies in 2013 to interchange the Caribbean Twenty20 because the premier Twenty20 competition within the Caribbean. Twenty20 domestic cricket 1st appeared in associate degree organized manner within the West Indies in 2006 with the Stanford 20/20 being command in private.
The second and final edition of the Stanford competition was formally additional to the West indies Cricket Board (WICB) calendar in 2008, when that the tournament finished once its sponsor Allen Stanford was charged with fraud and 2009.
