Lutyen’s media is ensuring that Congress gets routed in UP elections and dies before 2024

The left-liberals and anti-Modi gang have a poor understanding of the electoral issues. This will not only benefit the BJP but will also turn out to be the reason for the downfall of the Congress party itself.  The elite journalists of the left-liberal group including Raveesh Kumar, Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkha Dutt in collaboration with the opposition, have now up with a new story that revolves around the Pegasus spyware scandal. But neither the government nor the people are affected by it, and the attempt itself is going to be an obvious failure.

Ajit Dutta, the consulting editor of TFI, mentioned in his tweet, “The Congress Party was responsible for its own downfall, but the Lutyens media will be responsible for its complete extinction. How both sides just don’t realise this is unbelievably funny.”

Pegasus is a spyware developed by an Israeli firm NSO Group Technologies. The spyware is designed to enable operators of the tool to extract messages, photos and emails, record calls and secretly activate microphones in the infected devices. Thus, turning the targeted device into a constant surveillance device. It has been claimed that any activity done on WhatsApp, even a missed video call, could give Pegasus operators complete access to the target’s smartphone.

As reported by TFI, ‘The Wire’ recently came up with its revelation of a “leaked list” of potential targets of surveillance by an “unidentified agency” using Pegasus software from Israel. It involves a list of 300 “verified” numbers includes those used by Indian “ministers, opposition leaders, journalists, the legal community, businessmen, government officials, scientists, rights activists and others.

The alleged list first came to Forbidden Stories and Amnesty International, followed by other media outlets including ‘The Wire’. Both Forbidden Stories and Amnesty International have been in the news for spreading anti-India agenda. It was alleged that Amnesty International was transacting money illegally to promote anti-India elements.

The opposition quickly jumped on the bandwagon created by the media and, without any facts and reliable source, disrupted the parliament during the monsoon session and accused the government of infringing upon privacy. Interestingly, this report was released a day before the Monsoon session of the parliament started when PM Modi was set to introduce his new cabinet of ministers post a grand reshuffle.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday took up the phone tapping issue and launched a veiled attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi tweeted saying, “We know what he’s been reading-everything on your phone! #Pegasus.”

The left-liberal media has a habit of picking stories with no credibility, merely working on guesswork and insinuations, to make a mountain out of a molehill. Travelling back the clock a bit, one can see, the lutyens media has time and again tried to stoke controversies be it in connection with the Rafale deal or the Covid Vaccine.

Congress, bereft of any issues, keeps digging the issues brought into the limelight by the left-liberal journalists. The Rafale deal controversy related to the purchase of 36 multirole fighter jets by the Defence Ministry of India from France’s Dassault Aviation, was used by Rahul Gandhi as a weapon against the Modi Government. But, On 14 December 2018, the Supreme Court upheld the Rafale deal, stating that no irregularities or corruption have been found.

Moreover, the ruckus regarding the covid vaccine took the limelight and Lutyens media along with the opposition cooked up stories. Earlier this year, several left-leaning journalists attempted to throw a spanner in the works by building a narrative against India’s vaccination drive. In an article published on The Print, the headlines insinuated that even doctors were having doubts over the efficacy of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin.

Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, said that July has come but vaccines haven’t. To which Piyush Goyal had replied, “petty politics is not right in the fight against Covid”. Goyal had further said, “12 crore vaccine doses will be available in July — separate from supply to private hospitals. States have been informed about the supply 15 days back. Rahul Gandhi should understand that petty politics, instead of seriousness, is not right in the fight against Covid.” As of 20 July 2021, India has administered over 415 million doses overall, including first and second doses of the currently approved vaccines.

As of now, the opposition and the lutyens media are poking at the Pegasus issue in hopes of using it as a sword against the BJP in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh. But little do they know, ‘some journalists and opposition leaders being spied on’ was never an issue of national or even regional importance. Even if, the media and the opposition try to put more emphasis on the scandal, it will only work in favour of Modi and enhance his image as a strong leader. The people will consider the step as an effort by the government to spy on anti-national voices in India.

The Congress party itself has a long history of spying on opponents. Be it the case when Subhash Chandra Bose’s family was spied on by the first Prime Minister Nehru or during the Manmohan Singh Government when an RTI revealed that around 9,000 phones and 500 email accounts were watched every month by the UPA government at the time. Even Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had admitted that he had the phones of his MLAs tapped.

As per the ‘The Guardian’ report on the snooping scandal, “The presence of a phone number in the data does not reveal whether a device was infected with Pegasus or subject to an attempted hack. However, the consortium believes the data is indicative of the potential targets NSO’s government clients identified in advance of possible surveillance attempts.”

Read More: An international conspiracy against the Modi government has begun right before the UP Election

To be very clear, the Pegasus issue is nothing but failed propaganda against Modi. Considering the last six years, it is clear that Congress fails to protest against the government miserably.  The eye is on the UP elections and Priyanka Gandhi, Congress national general secretary, has been campaigning for a while now and is on a mission to rebuild the grand old party in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2022 assembly polls. But, once again they have gone with the wrong electoral strategy which will fail to sway the core voters of BJP. In the end, while the BJP will once again emerge victorious, the Congress party will inevitably be the biggest loser. The uproar in the spyware scandal by the left liberals is only going to turn into a massive victory for the BJP in the UP elections.
