The Indian National Congress and its ‘Youth Wing’ have taken up the role of playing oxygen delivery agents for foreign embassies in New Delhi, albeit when there is no requirement of the same. This, perhaps in an effort to project India in a bad light internationally, and spread the false message that India is a country where even foreign embassies and missions are having to struggle to procure medical oxygen. Of course, the good Samaritan who saves such embassies in such distressing times is the Indian National Congress. It all started with senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh thanking the party’s youth wing for supplying oxygen to foreign embassies, who also took a pot-shot at the S Jaishankar-led Ministry of External Affairs.
He tweeted, “While I thank the IYC for its stellar efforts, as an Indian citizen I’m stunned that the youth wing of the opposition party is attending to SOS calls from foreign embassies. Is the MEA sleeping Dr S Jaishankar?” Attached to the tweet was a video supposedly of oxygen tanks being unloaded from a vehicle outside the Philippines embassy.

Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Sunday chose to debunk the lies of the Congress party, and said, “MEA checked with the Philippines Embassy. This was an unsolicited supply as they had no Covid cases. Clearly for cheap publicity by you know who. Giving away cylinders like this when there are people in desperate need of oxygen is simply appalling.” He went on to add, “Jairamji, MEA never sleeps; our people know across the world. MEA also never fakes; we know who does.”

To the demolition of Congress’ lies, Jairam Ramesh took his own sweet time to reply to the Foreign Minister, and shared some random, unverified and shady screenshots of purported text messages exchanged between the Youth Congress and the Philippines embassy. In another reply, Youth Congress’ official handle said that they must be forgiven for their late reply which was caused due to them attending to a request by the New Zealand embassy.
What say you now, Mr. Minister? @DrSJaishankar https://t.co/xVtdUVXpX6

Please excuse us for the delayed response, actually we were busy fulfilling a request at the NewZealand Embassy.

At a time of national crisis, all that the Congress party and its ‘youth’ wing can think of is scoring political brownie points. For the same, it is willing to put India’s relations with foreign nations at risk. Of course, since the party has now been exposed by no less than the Foreign Minister himself, it is having to resort to damage control and allegedly forging pictures.
At the time of extreme scarcity and while none of the hospitals and patients are not able to find a single oxygen cylinder anywhere in Delhi, how are these Youth Congress workers and Gurudwara’s NGO’s able to get them and also instantly deliver to the front doors of the Embassies?
Are they hoarding all supplies? Govt must check on these Youth Congress workers and Gurudwara’s NGO’s and find out how are they getting the supplies? Thing are seriously not right in Delhi.
