India was in no mood to relent at the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) on Wednesday where Pakistan like clockwork once again raised the bogus issue of Kashmir and how the Indian government was inflicting atrocities on the people of the region.
Exercising its Right of Reply after Pakistan raised Kashmir at the 46th session of UNHRC, Seema Pujani, the Second Secretary of India’s Permanent Mission called out Islamabad for misusing the rights forum and its mechanism and asked the neighbouring country to introspect on its grave human rights situations, referring to the genocide of Baloch, Sindhi and Pashtun minorities of the region.
“Several Baloch human rights defenders have even met tragic death under mysterious circumstances, while in exile,” said Pujani, whilst adding, “Pashtuns and Sindhis too have continued to struggle against the systemic oppression and discrimination.”
The Indian side subtly took a dig at UNHRC as well by quoting a report of the council which represented the deplorable state of women of Hindus, Christians, and other non-muslim religions in the terrorist state of Pakistan.
“An estimated 1,000 women from minority communities are subjected to abduction followed by forced conversion and forced marriage in Pakistan every year, according to a recent report published by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. Most of these women fall in the age-bracket of 16-25 years. The fact that young women, and not men or older women, are the main victims of forced conversions is a telling fact about Pakistani society. Shias, Hazaras and Ahmadiya communities have continued to face persecution, state-condoned violence and discrimination,” the statement said.

Pujani further called out Pakistan for its blasphemous track-record of fostering terrorism in the region and letting terrorists go scot-free. Talking about the killing of American journalist Daniel Pearl and how the Pakistan SC let go of the killers, Pujani hit the nail on the head.
“State-sponsored terrorism by Pakistan is a threat not only to India but to other countries in the region and beyond. The recent acquittal of Omar Saeed Sheikh, the al-Qaeda terrorist and murderer of the American journalist Daniel Pearl, by the Pakistani Supreme Court is a clear example of the Pakistani establishment’s nexus with such entities and, as the US secretary of state said, it is ‘an affront to terrorism victims everywhere’,” said Pujani.
The UNHRC had long lost its credibility when it admitted China to the council. Using its muscle and money might, China is now effectively looking to change the definition of ‘Human rights’ and specifically ‘genocide’ to whitewash the Uyghur Muslims genocide and simultaneously help its ally Pakistan which has been erasing the Balchos from the Balochistan region of the country.
India took no prisoners while attacking Pakistan and in nutshell gave it a thunderous chokeslam which would make the terrorist state quiet, at least, up until the next session of the UNHRC.
