National Investigation Agency (NIA) – the premier anti-terrorism agency of India, has filed a charge sheet against an Islamic terrorist module based in Tamil Nadu, associated with the jihadi group ‘Shahadat is our Goal’. As per the agency charge sheet, the ten terrorists of the group were planning a violent attack, and their ultimate aim is to establish Islamic rule in India.
“The probe establishes that accused were radicalised by violent Jihadi ideology. Prime accused Sheik Dawood and Mohamed Rifas had attempted to carry out terror acts by procuring illegal firearms,” said an NIA official, as per a report by ANI.
The case against the group was originally registered as FIR 46/2018 dated April 2018, under sections 153A and 120B of Indian Penal Code and sections 15(c), 17, 18, 19 and 20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and sections 25(1)(a) of Arms Act, 1959 at Keelakarai Police Station in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. The arrest of a few terrorists related to the group by NIA led to the unravelling of the network which wanted to establish Islamic rule in India and has many active members.
According to NIA, Sheik Dawood and Mohamed Rifas, the prime accused of the case, held many meetings at the various places of Tamil Nadu since Ramadan 2017 and were planning for shahadat (getting themselves killed) to establish Islamic Rule in India.
It is well-known that most of the Islamic extremist groups operating in India, such as the one recently busted by the NIA, have the ultimate goal of Ghazwa-e-Hind, which means reunification of India and Pakistan under Islamic rule. These groups and organisations draw their inspiration and ideology from the Mughal Empire, which they see as golden days of Islam in the Indian subcontinent. Needless to say, these organisations aim to subjugate the Hindus under Islamic rule and want them to pay jizya to Islamic rulers.
A few months ago, a video of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar went viral in which he was heard saying, “Ghazwa-e-Hind is mentioned in our sacred books. We will first capture Kashmir and then invade India from all sides for Ghazwa-e-Hind.”
In fact, Pakistan teaches its children that their ultimate aim is to establish Ghazwa-e-hind and Islamic radicals of India also feed the same to the Muslim youths. The ultimate goal of Islamic hardliners on both sides is to bring India under Islamic rule like the days of the Mughal Empire and make them pay Jizya. The busting of the terrorist model named ‘Shahadat is our goal’ by the NIA which is neither the last nor the first with the aim to establish Islamic rule in India, reaffirms the fact the Muslim youths need to be de-radicalised.
