A move that shows the fostering of political ties between the governments of Saudi Arabia and India, the de-facto leader of the Arab world recently deported several non-resident Indians (NRI) living in the country for protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) introduced by the Narendra Modi government late last year.
Taking a cue out of the infamous Shaheen Bagh model of protests, the NRIs living in Jeddah had tried to show their solidarity to the anti-CAA rioters by protesting and holding placards. However, it is now being reported that they were arrested for violating rules that prohibit any kind of assembly and protest and repatriated back to India. It is imperative to note that Gulf countries have zero tolerance towards any kind of protest, demonstration, or gathering.
The protestors were arrested a few months back but due to the COVID-19 situation, the process to deport them was stalled following the suspension of flights and other quarantine protocols, followed by the state.
Saudi Arabia has once again set an example that it would not tolerate anybody interfering in India’s internal matters whatever the issue is. Earlier this year, Pakistan was meted severe humiliation at the OIC when KSA refused to entertain its pleas of raising the Kashmir issue. Since then, the relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have been on a downward spiral.

The anti-CAA rioters and especially the Shaheen Bagh protestors had caused a loss of millions of rupees to the exchequer by blocking road 13-A for months on end. It was due to Shaheen Bagh that Delhi was doused in flames of anarchy by the protestors who went on a rampage and created chaos and mayhem. Police officers were killed, public property was dismantled, and arson was a routine happening of these protests.
The well-planned conspiracy by the left-wing extremists as well as Islamist groups was hatched to run a smear campaign against the government. National Register of Citizens (NRC) which was never introduced in the parliament was dubbed as the root cause of the protests.
Not a single Muslim citizen has lost their citizenship since CAA was introduced but the left-liberal lobby is steadfast in its version that the Modi government is hell-bent on decimating the second largest populace of the state.
Former AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain, who masterminded the protests and subsequent riots in association with Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, Safoora Zargar and other Islamists, while being financially upheld by organisations like PFI, has himself admitted to orchestrating the riots, born out of Shaheen Bagh, to teach Hindus of Delhi a lesson.
As reported by TFI, the terrorist organization named PFI, which had actively participated in scheming the entire event, has been exposed by the Enforcement Directorate. It has come to light that unaccounted cash was kept at the organization’s Shaheen Bagh office, which would have most probably been used for funding anti-India and anti-Hindu activities in the National Capital.
The initial investigation by the ED has revealed that over Rs 120 crore was credited in 73 bank accounts linked to PFI and its related entities. The ED also reportedly found that crores were received by PFI including foreign contributions of Rs 50 lakh through three foreign entities.
Therefore, it doesn’t take much to connect the dots as to how a protest allegedly sponsored by the ‘women of Shaheen Bagh’ went unchecked for months on end — when in reality it was being engineered and funded by architects of a radical Islamist lobby that was constantly cheered and made heroes out of thin air by the left-liberal lobby.
