A section of Muslims is running a sustained Non-cooperation Movement against Modi Govt amid Coronavirus outbreak

They are a real threat

A section of Muslims is running a sustained Non-cooperation Movement against Modi Govt amid Coronavirus outbreak

The Wuhan virus pandemic is showing no signs of abetting or even slowing down. The total number of cases worldwide has crossed two million–yet in these trying times, India has relatively been able to nip the virus in bud. The cases are doubling only every 5-6 days and given the high-density population we have, it is an achievement of sorts. But, the numbers could have been much lower if some sections of the society had shown little brains. The Tablighi Jamaat conundrum has set back our flattening the curve measures by months and we have not been able to break the chain of transmission as of yet.

All the misbehaving with the doctors, pelting stones on the medical personnel, spitting and urinating at places and absconding from the rule of law has further endangered the central and state governments’ efforts to keep the virus in check. Together these instances make us believe that this is an organized and orchestrated non-cooperation movement against the Modi government by certain sections of the society who would go to any lengths to derail the war-footing efforts and push the country into the unknown. The examples are aplenty and we have tried enlisting some of them here.

The Indore stone pelting incident was one of the first and foremost incidents that was pre-cursor to what has followed afterward. A mob went on a rampage attacking health officials who had arrived to check for Wuhan virus suspects and to save their lives. The videos had gone viral on social media platforms where the doctors could be seen running for their lives whilst still being in the PPE kits.

In Bihar’s Madhubani district, things went a notch further as stones were replaced with bullets when a police party proceeded towards a Mosque where a Jamaat had been organized and a large number of people associated with the Tablighi Jamaat were in hiding. Five cops were injured in the attack, and the SHO and the BDO had to run for their lives as the mobs tried their level best to kill the police officials.

Bihar: Three people arrested for attacking police in Andharatharhi area in Madhubani yesterday. The saviors in white coats were again under siege in Hyderabad, where two doctors were attacked by the relatives of Khaleeluddin, a resident of Quthbullapur after he died of the Wuhan virus. He had also participated in the Tablighi Jamaat trans-national conference in Nizamuddin earlier this month.

Disgusting. Two Doctors of Gandhi Hospital in Telangana attacked by relatives of a #COVID19 patient who had died. How can you even attempt something so foolish and idiotic? Doctors and Nurses are risking their life throughout India and the world to save us. Shame on these goons. pic.twitter.com/ZoC8In39V4

Shocking reports were received from Ahmedabad’s Gomtipur area in Gujarat, where the cops who had gone searching for the Tablighi Jamaat-Nizamuddin Markaz conference attendees were attacked and pelted with stones.

On April 5, in the Firozabad district of Agra division, residents allegedly pelted stones at health department vehicles taking Jamaatis to the municipal quarantine center. As soon as the ambulance reached the quarantine facility, local residents started opposing the health officials and if the driver had not shown the presence of mind by speeding away with the ambulance, serious injuries could have occurred to the driver as well as the Jamaatis.

At the starting of April, some 160-odd Tablighi Jamaat attendees were quarantined at a railway facility in southeast Delhi. But no sooner they were shifted there, news reports of them “misbehaving” and “spitting” at doctors and healthcare personnel attending to them came out.

There have been FIR’s filed against Tablighi Jamaat members for throwing urine-filled bottles at a Quarantine facility in Delhi’s Dwarka area. “The intention behind the indecent activity of throwing of bottles filled with urine may be to spread coronavirus among other people,” the complaint had stated.

— News Intervention (@NewsIntervene) April 8, 2020

In one of the most profane behavior that we have seen out of the lot–the female staff of the MMG Hospital, Ghaziabad was subjected to sexually predatory behavior by the Tablighi Jamaat members. The nurses, in their complaint to the Police, had alleged that the men were roaming naked around their wards, making lewd gestures at them, listening to vulgar songs and when given medicines, they refused to take it and misbehaved with them.

They also claimed that the Jamaatis asked for beedi-cigarettes from the housekeeping staff and when they were told to remain away from each other, they sat together in close proximity, defying the rules.

Yesterday, another event in the lost list of defiance against the authorities got added in the form of unfortunate Moradabad stone-pelting incident in Uttar Pradesh. A team of health workers and police were attacked in the Haji Neb Masjid area of Moradabad when they went to pick up a suspected COVID-19 patient and his family.

As the medical team reached the household in question, a wild mob descended upon them and started arguing with them. Despite the team trying their best to explain the situation to the rogue mob—it started pelting stones on them nevertheless.

After causing Tablighi Jamaat disaster, some media reports have stated that Maulana Saad is actively conspiring, gathering support and mobilizing the Jamaatis to create unrest and violence in case of his arrest.

The whole Muslim community is being vilified because of these boisterous leeches who have created all the mess around. Then there are people like Ashok Swain who justify such callous behavior and give them the leeway to further propagate their malice.

https://twitter.com/ashoswai/status/1250502839367016449

And therefore when these incidents are compiled and all the sinister sub-plots put under the scanner, it makes one wonder if this is one big hatched plot that has been planned all along. There is no proper reason as to why the accidents are being repeated everywhere with an eerie similarity and by the same demography of people. It can be plain stupidity too if we are reading too much into the lines, but even stupidity does not fully answer what has been going around the country.

Mahatma Gandhi led the Non-Cooperation Movement to drive the colonial forces out of the country. However, the attempts by the people to disregard help and orders from the authorities is absolutely shocking. The non-cooperation by a certain section of Muslims is a threat to India’s chances of averting this catastrophe and if they are not put in place, we are staring at lockdown 3.0 or even beyond.
