‘Kejriwal, Go Back,’ AAP’s involvement in the violence has people of Delhi seething with anger

From Amanatullah to Tahir Hussain, AAP has gotten away with its sinister politics for far too long

Kejriwal, AAP,

Delhi has seen it all in the past few months, from cosmetic-protests to mob lynching to arson to winning of an oligarchy government which has played with the sentiments of voters. Riding on the freebie politics and populist measures and an effective branding strategy, Kejriwal might have got the keys to the secretariat but he has burnt the city to the ground. When you look back and try to work out what exactly happened in the national capital you would be astonished to find out that it’s been Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) all along. The party started the fires of anarchy and lawlessness, incited the violence, supported the perpetrators, played the victim card, rinse and repeat. The garb of a virtue-signalling Chief Minister Kejriwal tried to put on can be removed easily if you go through the timeline of incidents.

All through the last two and a half months- AAP’s MLAs have been actively involved in the violence and the polarization, they demonized the police, to the point that rioters felt free to attack police. Shaheen Bagh, the breeding ground for all things bad that has befallen the state has been inherently anti-Hindu, anti-establishment, and brimming with disinformation on CAA-NRC from the beginning. Sharjeel Imam was their organizer and his connection with PFI has been well established. Shaheen Bagh was never a protest of women sitting against an act. The women itself are the act of all the hideous and anti-national activities happening in the background.

All the anti-national rhetoric’s camouflaged and presented with reciting of the constitution and national anthems is a misleading act. It might have been good for optics and the leftist media to hop on but the reality was always diametrically opposite. The well-organized Shaheen Bagh had kudrati khanna and aasmaani biryani to satiate the taste buds of protestors with the money pouring in from radical Islamist sympathizers.

In Shaheen bagh, Imran Hussain, Abdul & Amanatullah were often seen participating in the protests and egging the mob to go on offense. They fanned communal discord through their delirious and inciting speeches. Manish Sisodia, the deputy CM time and again said that he stood with Shaheen Bagh. As Delhi police was trying hard to pacify the violent protest against CAA, Delhi’s AAP government was busy instilling fear in Muslims to create more chaos, with the direct involvement of deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Atishi Marlena in the violent protest by peddling fake news and morphed pictures on social media to appease the Muslims.

Amanatullah Khan openly instigated the Muslim mobs, Delhi police has even registered an FIR against him which relates to arson, rioting, damage to government property and obstructing the government work. Amanatullah with other local goons were directly involved in the rioting, local Muslims alongside other protesters had torched four public buses and two police vehicles when they clashed with the police in New Friends Colony, near Jamia Millia Islamia, during a demonstration against the amended Citizenship Act, leaving nearly 60 people including students, cops and firefighters injured. AAP leaders trying to shield the violent protesters along with the students of Jamia varsity coined the fake news that Delhi police was setting the buses and vehicles on fire in their motive to protect the radical Muslims involved in the protest.

Shaheen bagh led to polarization which led to Muslims voting en masse for AAP. Amanatullah’s who won from Okhla, the protest site of Shaheen Bagh had a mind-numbing vote share percentage of 80 percent. All the Muslim majority seats (where Muslims are over 40 percent) voted overwhelmingly for AAP. In Ballimaran, Delhi minister Imran Hussain of AAP defeated Lata Sodhi of BJP by 36,172 votes. Likewise, in Matia Mahal, five-term legislator Shoaib Iqbal polled 67,250 votes. The AAP candidate from Mustafabad, Haji Yunus, came from behind to poll 98,850 votes. In Seelampur AAP won despite replacing its sitting MLA Mohammad Ishraque with Abdul Rehman who polled 36,920 votes more than Kaushal Kumar Mishra of BJP. Three Muslim-dominated seats — Seelampur, Mustafabad and Matia Mahal — recorded the highest voter turnout. The highest turnout was recorded in Seelampur at 71.4 percent followed by Mustafabad at 70.56 percent. Matia Mahal in old Delhi recorded a turnout of 70.33 percent. This if nothing but proves one thing that people were influenced by the hard-hitting propaganda that was propagated by Khan and his aides. Slogans and speeches of the most incendiary and provocative kind bordering on Hinduphobia were made- something that unsurprisingly found legitimacy with the anti-CAA lobby.

The man who was seen brandishing a pistol at the protest site, allegedly asking the protesters to vacate the road or ‘get ready to die’ was later found to have AAP connections. To quote a tweet posted by Times Now, “Twist to the Shaheen Bagh protest. A man with a gun was apprehended at the protest site. The gunman has reportedly been found linked to an AAP leader & the leader has denied the link.”  The fake media tried to blame BJP MP Anurag Thakur for the gunman whose name was later found out to be Mohammad Luqman Chaudhary.

Kapil Gujjar, the man who fired shots at Shaheen Bagh and shouted “Sirf Hindu ki chalegi” is a member of AAP too. Both Kapil and his father are members of the AAP as they joined the party last year. The Delhi Police uncovered the pictures from Kapil’s phone after the help from their technical team as Kapil had deleted the pics where he can be seen being welcomed to the party by senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Atishi Marlena. These tactics to implicate BJP by AAP at every stage of these bogus protests failed.

With Donald Trump’s visit to Delhi on the line, rioters knew that Delhi Police and Centre will have to exercise ‘restraint’. Those who orchestrated Shaheen Bagh protests wanted to end with a bang. They found an opportunity in Donald Trump’s visit- what better opportunity to tarnish India’s image and hog limelight in international media than the US President’s visit? The anti-CAA rioters went on a rampage in Jaffrabad, Maujpur and other areas of Northeast Delhi. Several videos showed anti-CAA rioters turning the protest sites into virtual warzones attacking both the Delhi Police and the ordinary citizens. The moment anti-CAA rioters and hoodlums took to the streets, the radical ‘intellectual’ leftists took this as an opportunity to steer away from the truth and start peddling their lies to malign the Hindus. The entire left-liberal cabal and the empathizers of ‘peaceful’ started actively terming the violence from pelting rocks to firing pistols as an elaborate campaign of BJP and in specific Hindutva elements. Delhi Police constable Ratan Lal was killed by the anti-CAA protestors and when Kejriwal and Sisodia went to express grief to the martyred policeman’s family they were booed out with slogans from angry people who had gathered near his house in large numbers in solidarity with Ratan Lal and his family. The people chanted Slogans of ‘Go back’ and other slogans to show their anger on the CM.

Ankit Sharma, an IB officer was slain and thrown in the drain behind AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain’s house. The family members of Ankit Sharma have accused Tahir Hussain of plotting his death at the hands of the mob during the violence. Tahir has been booked by Delhi Police under section 302(a) Murder. The autopsy reports revealed that he was stabbed 400 times. Stab wounds were all over the body and it took over a period of 2-4 hours. Doctors are in a state of shock since they have not witnessed such a mutilated body ever. The incriminating evidence in the form of videos proves that Tahir Shah, contrary to his claims of fleeing the house was present with the rioters and did nothing to stop them, albeit he participated in hate-mongering. Scores of rocks and Petrol bombs have been discovered from the roof of his house and it is clear that AAP and Tahir were heavily involved in the violence. Tahir Hussain is a murderer and a barbarian at large who presents a threat to the society and must be arrested at the earliest.

After all that has happened Kejriwal now says ‘double punishment’ for AAP leaders who are involved, but the damage has long been done. People who voted for AAP feel let down by him, for his ugly politics and the hate that he propelled all through the incident. Elections come and go but what stays in people’s memory is the government that brought a change in their lives. The AAP government has only brought chaos in the lives of Delhites. The Azadi slogans have been normalized, rioting and arson is routine work, killing police officers is no big deal and the lives of ordinary working-class person does not even matter. This is anarchy and Kejriwal may put his PR team at the forefront to hose away these allegations saying Police is not under his government. Then not many know that Sections 129 and 130 of the CrPC empower the Executive Magistrate, who reports to the Kejriwal government, to cause any unlawful assembly to be dispersed and can also seek the aid of Armed Forces in doing so, the latter being duty-bound to comply with such requisitions. But for reasons obvious to everyone, the Delhi government made no serious attempt to get the Shaheen Bagh protesters removed from the site of the roadblock and what his partymen did is there for everybody to see.

Kejriwal and his AAP like an ostrich hid its head in the ground, disparaged the Hindu community despite the feeble attempts of painting himself as hanuman bhakt. He could have goaded his partymen to play down communalism but when the henchman is like that you cannot expect much from its lower cadre workers which is only executing orders of the high-command. Voters have been served a reminder that populist measures does not always mean a secular and able leader is at the helm of affairs. The likes of Kejriwal and Sisodia have been exposed. Their footprint is everywhere in the bloodbath that happened in the streets of Delhi. Surely, the country would not forgive you, Mr. Kejriwal.
