BJP’s idiotic enemies: The more they protest in streets, the stronger the BJP gets in the parliament

7 Years have come and gone; they still haven’t understood how it works

BJP’s idiotic enemies: The more they protest in streets, the stronger the BJP gets in the parliament

The opposition and liberal camp is in dire need of a master political strategist, who can somehow tell the many idiots in this camp that their misinformation campaign, lies, propaganda and absolute falsities are strengthening the BJP electorally in ways it cannot begin to imagine. One needs to understand basic Indian politics to know that if at all the BJP is to be defeated, it cannot be done by burning the streets.

Many might react to my introduction with a “we’ll get to know it during the Delhi elections”. Here, it is worthy to be mentioned that as much as I would want the BJP winning in Delhi, I wouldn’t be particularly surprised if it doesn’t. The fact is that Delhi is too small a parameter to judge the BJP’s gains by.

The mass violence which has been orchestrated on the streets of this nation for over a month now, and which is now culminating with the royal drama at JNU would be showing its effect, not in state elections, but in the next Lok Sabha polls. If you think that’s too far, then the 2021 Uttar Pradesh polls will also be able to tell us the story as it pans out. In all this, I am not even minutely hinting that the BJP would have to suffer decelerating consequences. It’ll be an upward trajectory which the saffron party follows.

What makes me say so? In 2016, when the JNU drama hit the news, liberals and opposition parties were quick to write the immediate epitaph of the Modi government. To their surprise, BJP returned with an even bigger mandate in 2019.

Liberals have never got Indian politics wrong by such huge margins. Part of the ongoing protests also stems from that frustration. How is it, that despite their concerted efforts at creating anarchy in India, the people voted in favour of the party that they despise? The answers are simple, however, require courage to stomach.

“Bharat tere tukde honge, Inshallah Inshallah” was the line that unsuspecting Indians heard finally from a university where such activity was the norm for decades. They had made up mind even more firmly after this. Then on, whenever the cameras have turned towards JNU, or those celebrating the Pulwama terror attack, heaps of fence-sitters have shifted to the BJP.

The BJP’s core voter is not loud, unlike the anti-BJP voters. The core voter sits back and watches the theatre performances of the opposition parties, who to these voters, seem not a notch more than a bunch of headless chickens desperate still that they have been kicked out of power in 2014. I am not speaking of the Congress alone. Prior to 2014, all these goons out on the streets were in power. The students who are now in an ever-agitated mode were in power. The ‘woke’ community was in power. The leftists were in power.

However, 2014 brought about a change in the power equations, with every citizen getting power under the Modi government, except these few entitled fools who are now out on the streets. On their part, they saw the BJP’s core voter getting power. And much to their disgust, they saw Hindus getting power.

Having been dislodged from power, these groups resorted to the emergency rhetoric. They also resorted to violence, which was not as widespread as it was witnessed a month ago. The spread of violence is a direct indication of the desperation of these powerless groups. Post-2014, they religiously thought that violence was the only way to destabilize the Modi government. However, the BJP turned into an invincible electoral machinery. And then, despite all their hyperventilated rhetoric, 2019 happened, 303 happened.

Why did 303 happen? It happened because the BJP’s core voter stuck to it, and will continue to do so. The very thought of the BJP core voter shifting allegiances due to the buffoonery of a few leftists in some university is a non-starter.

Then came the combined strength of those whose lives were transformed by PM Modi welfare schemes. Tell me, who would a woman who has received an LPG connection for the first time vote for? Who would the families who got benefits under Ayushman Bharat vote for? Who would the families who got toilets in their houses vote for? Who would the citizens who feel that the nation was much more secure now vote for? For the government that made such facilities available, or for those who were spinning off imaginative and hyperbolic theories of ‘fascism’? Obviously, the former.

Imaginations and fabrication of supposed fascist tendencies of the BJP has reaped no benefits for the opposition. Yet, they continue to gladly walk on the same path of lies. The more the opposition continues with its lies and naked display of violence, the more the citizens of India are consolidated in favour of the BJP. Those who are seemingly centrists, and support no party, in particular, will also vote for the BJP, as voting for those on the streets would simply mean giving power to goons.

Finally, there is a world outside social media. A world outside the rhetoric of Twitter and Facebook. There is a world outside the outrage of woke millennials on Instagram. And it is that world which matters. While those gauging India’s political mood going by social media trends continue to believe that they are causing harm to the BJP, in reality, they are only pandering to a small audience. The immensity of Indians who frankly, do not care about JNU like protests are the same people who are a deciding factor for the BJP electorally.

From Rahul Gandhi to Umar Khalid, Jignesh Mevani, Shehla Rashid, Kanhaiya, Aysha and Ladeeda, many undeserving faces were scheduled to bring down Narendra Modi. Obviously that hasn’t happened. Instead, he’s gotten bigger. No lessons have been learnt over the past five years. The BJP has foolish and ignorant enemies, to say the least, much to its benefit.
