The 2019 general elections have been seeing opposition parties setting new lows in political campaigning, with Congress floating white lies in opposition to Mayawati openly calling Muslims to vote for the Mahagathbandhan. In another blatant and desperate attempt at polarizing the public a new website called Indian Muslim voters has surfaced, which categorically directs all Muslims of our country to vote for specific parties in different states. Not surprisingly the website pleads for Muslim voters to vote for Congress in most of states.
The 2014 general elections saw Indian voters diverging from the expansive manufactured narrative of the the liberal-secular nexus and giving a befitting reply to the Congress which has been surviving on simple vote bank politics and the politics of minority appeasement.
The website was registered just a few days ago (Whois lookup). It strikes religious chords and separates Muslims as a vote bank, which has been perpetually exploited by the Congress and other ‘Secular’ parties for long. “The purpose of this website is to unite the Muslim voters in India”, claims the Website.
The website shamelessly goes on to segregate Muslim voters from people who voted for the BJP, implying that no Muslims had voted for the BJP, which is not only factually incorrect but a blatant misrepresentation, furthering the same narrative which solidifies the exploitation of Muslims as a vote Bank.
The website then goes ahead to provide several statistics without any sources or citations to again display the relevance of united Muslims in the Indian electoral scene again just forwarding same old policy.
The website even goes to the length of citing quotes from the Qur’an to further manipulate voters to vote against the BJP. “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” [Qur’an 3:103]
In an open challenge to Indian Democratic fabric, calling to vote on religious lines is not only shameful but a can also be a slippery slope for the future electios. The website then goes ahead to direct the Muslims to vote for specific parties in different states, unsurprisingly they root for the Congress in most of the states.
With opposition parties already trying to manipulate Muslim voters, this website is another shameful attempt to forward the opposition’s agenda as well as to to evade the Model Code of conduct through an anonymous website. The About section of the website reiterates the covert nature of this cowardly attempt.
“We cannot reveal all the information about us but we are team of brothers & sisters on a mission to spread the truth. We ask for no reward and no thanks from our readers in the least.”
The liberal-secular nexus who has been denigrating the BJP since long, why are they silent on this meek ‘fatwa’? Why are they silent on Mayawati’s comments’? Why are they silent on perpetual exploitation of Muslims on religious lines?
Now the buck stops at Indian Muslims who have been exploited by the Congress and other Secular parties for decades, now time has come for them to vote above communal lines and vote for politics of development and vote for the India of the Future.
