From denying the SPG to remain in the protective circle and greeting kids after republic day parade to interacting with them on various occasions, PM Modi and the student fraternity share a relation of sheer friendliness. PM Modi very well understands the need to nourish the younger generation and in order to do so; he has at times interacted with the students.
Recently, in his bid to share the burden of students as the season of examinations approaches, PM Modi’s session, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with students was organized in the national capital.
In the session, the PM interacted with students, teachers, and parents about examinations and the stress it brings with it. Highlighting the importance of PM’s session, an official from HRD Ministry said, “The competition is only for students studying from classes 9 to 12, graduate and undergraduate college students, their parents and teachers. Selected participants will have an opportunity to attend an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
In the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event, Indian students from Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore also took part and got the opportunity to hear from the PM about how to cope up with the staggering challenges, the life throws since students’ life itself.
Almost 675 students from 24 states and union territories arrived in Delhi to participate in the event. Students put their queries to the PM and the PM graciously guided students. On being asked how to convince parents to opt for other subjects apart from Science and Maths, PM Modi replied that the student who has to pursue needs to have clarity about the stream she thinks can proceed with. PM stressed on the clarity of thoughts, faith in conviction and character to act and asked students to follow these mantras.
PM went on to add that in the state of confusion one should discuss and should not bear the onus to decide everything by oneself. PM expressed that sometimes, discussions can be very helpful and enlightening.
A student from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Moscow thanked PM Modi for having imparted a huge influence on her parents. The PM in reply asked the parents to refrain from making comparisons as it brings stress. He asked students to draw satisfaction from little achievements. PM added that short term goals need to be set, own records should be broken as it will never let one feel low and improvements would keep coming.
In the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event, PM Modi also shared about how he manages bureaucrats by not allowing them to feel lowly in case his expectations in the capacity of Prime Minister are not met.
