In the recent past, it has been seen that the Congress, especially its president Rahul Gandhi has illogically been trying to project the Rafale deal as a scam. Rahul Gandhi has left no stone unturned in making allegations of corruption in the Rafale deal. He has been making allegations even after being exposed time and again. He shares bogus reports of alleged news websites to prove his point and it takes a very few Google searches for people to expose the baseless allegations made by Rahul Gandhi.
On Monday, the Centre submitted an affidavit in connection with the Rafale deal in the Supreme Court. The document titled “Details of the steps in the decision making process leading to the award of 36 Rafale fighter aircraft order” states that the process as laid down in the ‘Defence Procurement Procedure-2013’ has been followed in the procurement of the Rafale aircraft. The Centre in a sealed cover has filed the details of the pricing as well. Important point to note here is that the papers were submitted in a sealed envelope.
After the Centre submitted affidavit to the SC, Rahul Gandhi in a tweet said, “Modi Ji has admitted his theft in the SC. In the affidavit, he admitted the changes in the contract without consulting the Air Force and put Rs 30,000 crore in Ambani’s pocket.” The Congress president ended his tweet with a famous Hindi movie dialogue- ‘Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost’. The source he used to prove his point belonged to propaganda news website.

The website which goes by the name of ‘NewsCentral 24×7’ came in to existence around Karnataka elections in order to create electoral atmosphere in favor of the Congress. One of the owners of the website- Aruna Urs- is also from Karnataka. The other owner of the website- Dushyant– is a lawyer and a columnist with Mumbai Mirror. He has written for The Caravan, NDTV, The Wire, Sunday Guardian, The Print, Quint, DailyO and others. He is the editor-in-chief of NewsCentral24x7.com.

After the Karnataka state assembly elections, the website is now in the business of maligning the image of the BJP with its baseless reports. The website is filled with all sorts of negativity against the BJP and its leaders. It seems that they are campaigning in favour of the Congress for the 2019 general elections.
