An FIR has been filed against three young controversial leaders of Gujarat- Jignesh Mevani, Alpesh Thakor and Hardik Patel by a woman accusing the trio of illegally entering her house in Gandhinagar and accusing her of selling alcohol. In their desperation to stay in limelight now, the notorious trio has turned vigilante. Without any authority, the trio had conducted the raid at a house close to the Gandhinagar SP office in Sector 27 on Thursday. During the raid, the trio claimed to have seized two pouches of country liquor and presented it as proof of flourishing business of liquor in the state. They also claimed that their raid was aimed at exposing the “liquor den.”
Within hours of the raid, the Gandhinagar police held a press conference and rubbished their claim. The Gandhinagar SP Virendra Singh Yadav told reporters that Jignesh Mevani, Alpesh Thakor and Hardik Patel planted two liquor pouches in the house minutes before their raid to prove their claims of liquor den. The complainant also said the same thing, she said the trio and their supporters’ carried out the raid when there was no male member was present in the house and also planted two pouches of country liquor to prove that her house is a liquor den.
Gandhinagar police booked the trio for house-trespassing and other charges. Inspector VN Yadav of Sector 21 police station, said “We have registered a case against them under IPC Sections 452 (house trespass), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 114 (abettor present when offence is committed) and 193 (punishment for false evidence).” Gujarat state, since 1 May 1960 has a law that disallows the manufacture, storage, sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Instead of accepting their mistake and apologise, publicity-hungry Jignesh Mevani took to social media to express his anger against the police complaint. Mevani in his tweet ranted against the Gujarat police for filing a complaint against him and his two other coteries.
Instead of taking any action against the bootleggers, Gujarat Police files an FIR against me, Hardik Patel and Alpesh Thakor for exposing that alcohol is being sold at a distance of 100 metre of District Superintendent's office at Gandhinagar. Shame!

The trio tried its best to sensationalize this whole episode and make a political capital out of it and sat on dharna outside the police station. Disrupting people’s lives, breaching their privacy, leveling fake charges against common citizen has become a game for some elected representatives of India. Earlier also this trio had been in news for all the wrong reasons. Jignesh Mevani targeted a private citizen, Shefali Vaidya. Mevani shared a derogatory photoshopped image of Vaidya and traumatized her.
Then Jignesh Mevani stooped to another low and went on to the extent of insulting PM Modi. He tweeted a picture in which he is fiercely pointing his finger at an actor dressed as PM Modi and posted a message ridiculing the plot to assassinate PM Modi by calling it a drama.
Earlier, an FIR was also registered against Mevani and JNU expelled student Umar Khalid for giving hate speeches and spreading disharmony at ‘Elgar Parishad’ in Pune, just a day before the riots in Bhima Koregaon. Earlier, Hardik Patel was also booked under sedition for his alleged comments on instigating a community youth to kill policemen instead of committing suicide.
The trio has been always in news for all the wrong reasons. These notorious people are portrayed by the Lutyens’ media as the men who can challenge PM Modi, who can finish the Modi wave by defeating the BJP in PM Modi’s home state- Gujarat. This shows what kind of leaders’ leftist ecosystem nurtures and promotes.
