Siddaramaiah paved the way for his own defeat and political oblivion.

Karnataka Election results came as huge blow to the soon to be Ex-Karnataka CM, Siddaramaiah. His ego, divisive, appeasement and casteist politics sank the ship of Congress in Karnataka. More than Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah, PM Modi and CM Yogi, he played a bigger role in ensuring the BJP’s victory, committing blunder after blunder. His last blunder was his decision to contest from Chamundeshwari constituency. He suffered a big defeat there and lost by a huge margin of votes. He not only lost the state but could not retain his own seat. His arrogant attitude, loose talk and attacking opponents in very harsh and uncivilized language contributed to his fall immensely. His vendetta politics and prioritizing party over state has caused a lot of damage to the state. Today, people of Karnataka has rejected his Anti-Hindu and divide and rule politics. With this victory in Karnataka, BJP has stepped one more step closer towards Congress-Mukt-Bharat.  Not only Siddaramaiah, but his ten sitting ministers of also could not retain their seats. His overconfidence also contributed to his fall, immensely.

His fall began with the celebration of Tipu Jayanti and ended up with the defeat in 2018 Karnataka Elections. This shows the extent to which he was consumed in the hatred for Hinduism. He celebrated the Jayanti of a tyrant who had massacred hundreds of thousands of Hindus during his rule. Although, the tyrant Tipu’s birthday falls on November 20 but his Jayanti was celebrated on November 10.  November 10 is the day on which he hanged 700 Iyengars in Melkote. When the organizing secretary of Viswa Hindu Parishad, D.S. Kuttapa, staged a protest against such glorification of a man who has killed millions of Kodavas, he was brutally hacked to death by “unknown assailants”. In another heart wrenching incident which exposes Siddaramaiah’s anti-Hindu agenda, a 29-year-old humble flower seller, Prashant Pujari, was hacked to death by bike borne assailants in front of his father with whom he ran their family owned business in Moodabidri, Karnataka. No compensation was given to the bereaved family, no national paper carried the story and as alleged by the VHP district president, the attackers got away scot-free. However, the people of Moodabidri, the home town of Prashant Pujari, did not forget his death and Siddaramaiah’s inactions as they have resoundingly rejected Congress in this election.

These are a short number of accounts of humiliation and depravity faced by Hindus under the Siddaramaiah government. During the election campaign, in Kanyana village, a poster on the wall read, “This is a Hindu house. Congress leaders who supported the conversion of Ganyashri through lies are not allowed here.” The context of these posters refers to another anti-Hindu act committed by the tacit approval of soon to be Ex- CM Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka. The villagers suspect that the local village girl, Ganyashri, was converted by deceit and local Congress leaders aided in this whole process as a result of which the girl eloped and her family faced embarrassment. He made every attempt to destabilize the country by resorting to North-South divide.  During the election campaign, he termed PM Modi and CM Yogi as ‘North Indian imports’.

. @BJP4Karnataka by waiting for North Indian imports like PM Modi, UPCM Adityanath is admiting they have no leaders in the state. They have reduced their CM face @BSYBJP to a dummy.

PM may come & go. Here it is Siddaramaiah vs BSY & you know who is winning.#CongressMathomme https://t.co/IatRRstyAe

His other divisive tactics included, launching of separate flag and creating Hindi-Kannada controversy. Everything seems to have backfired for him rather badly. One of the main reasons behind his fall is his appeasement politics. In 2015, Siddaramaiah had withdrawn criminal cases against 1600 PFI and KFD (another Muslim group) activists.

Before the elections, his government announced withdrawal of communal cases on Muslims. Even the schools were not spared. The Congress Karnataka Government passed an order to stop the Temple Grants to two Hindu schools in Karnataka. On the other hand, State government continued to sponsor Madrassas of the state.

The BJP dedicated their victory in Bantawal to the deceased young RSS worker Sharat Madiwal. He was killed by Islamic fundamentalists. Congress Minister Ramanath Rai had given tacit support to these anti social elements. Siddaramaiah also resorted to blatant caste politics in Karnataka and worked to divide Hindu community by granting separate religion status to Lingayats. Political commentators predicted this is a masterstroke by Siddaramaiah. This masterstroke is one of the reasons for defeat of Congress in the state. BJP convinced Hindus, and rightly so, that the motive behind this move of Congress is to divide Hindus. It resulted in Hindu consolidation of votes for BJP in many constituencies. Karnataka had witnessed gruesome political killings of Hindu activists and government had completely failed to bring the culprits to justice.  Even the IAS officers were not safe in Karnataka. An honest IAS officer DK Ravi who launched a crackdown against encroachment of government lands, illegal sand mining and tax raids on major tax evading real estate firms, was found dead at his residence in Bengaluru under mysterious circumstances. The way state government had handled the case, was subject to much controversy.

Anupama Shenoy, an honest IPS officer, was transferred many times and harassed for taking on big criminals and mafias of the state. Tired of the constant harassment, she finally had to resign. The complete disregard for law and order shown by the Congress led to culprits roaming free and innocents being behind the bars. This is another testament to Siddaramaiah’s failure. He failed on each and every front.  Under his rule, in 2014-15, 101 farmers committed suicide. In 2016-17, 103 farmers committed suicide. Overall, in the state, 2000 farmers have committed suicide in the last three years. Sad state of infrastructure of Karnataka, especially the Bengaluru city, is not hidden from anyone. He has converted Garden City into Garbage city. Lakes of Bengaluru are now in news not for their beauty and fresh water but for their pollution. Siddaramiah government in Karnataka is a huge failure on development front. With this defeat a corrupt and anti development government of Congress comes to an end.
