Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun addressing rallies in Karnataka ahead of the polls which are scheduled on May 12. PM Modi is addressing the Chamarajanagar voters today. This is his first rally in Karnataka during this election season. Two more rallies are to follow today and PM Modi will also address the public of Karnataka on 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th May. His packed schedule will have him addressing three rallies on each of the five days he will be in Karnataka meaning a total of 15 rallies in five days. The importance of the Karnataka state elections is not lost on the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders who have brought in their star campaigner in the closing days of Karnataka pre-poll campaign. PM Modi looked in command and opened attack on the Congress state and central party. Listing the achievements of BJP in the Central as well as the state governments where it holds sway, PM Modi advised and requested the public to vote for BJP candidates in the upcoming elections.
PM Modi spoke about how Karnataka has been facing a huge law and order crisis in the past five years coupled with corruption charges on the many Congress party leaders. He pointed towards Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s disrespect towards the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ and the lack of manners in the Congress ‘prodigy’. Replying to Rahul Gandhi’s comment on PM Modi not being able to stand if Rahul Gandhi started talking about the Rafael deal and Nirav Modi, PM Modi challenged Rahul Gandhi to enlist the achievements of Congress in Karnataka. He gave Rahul the freedom to choose whether he speaks in Hindi, English or the mother tongue of his mother Sonia Gandhi in any rally in Karnataka. PM Modi mentioned that Rahul Gandhi has no knowledge of the country, its history and has no knowledge about the corrupt people in his own party. He also termed Rahul Gandhi and the Congress as a whole as reapers of the goodwill of a name.
Praising the people who stood under the hot sun waiting to listen to PM Modi owing to overcrowding, PM Modi termed them as the reason why BJP is being seen as favourites in the state elections. PM Modi also termed that the BJP wave was still alive in Karnataka and it had turned into a tornado. These open attacks on the Congress and its leaders have left the Congress party exposed and the BJP and PM Modi will keep hurting them in the days to come.
Was it fear that drove you to contest from 2 parliamentary constituencies (Varanasi & Vadodara) Mr. PM @narendramodi ? Of course you are a 56 inch man, you would have some clever explanation!!
Forget 2 seats, Sir. Worry about the fact that your party will not cross 60-70! https://t.co/Hr3V5x6sDE

The rally was exactly if not more than what Siddaramaiah, the incumbent Congress CM of Karnataka was afraid of. The tweets ‘welcoming’ PM Modi in Karnataka posted by Siddaramaiah showed his nervousness and fear of the effect of PM Modi’s presence in the state. The outrageous tweets posted by Siddaramaiah were nothing but petty acts committed by a person who had lost control over his mind due to fear. The huge turnout in the Chamarajanagar area will give the Congress leaders more nightmares as will the rallies following this one. The barrage of mindless accusations will keep flowing from the Congress leaders and PM Modi will keep putting them to rest with facts and figures articulated in an interesting manner. Karnataka is important for BJP and Congress alike, the only thing in favour of the BJP in Karnataka though is that the people of Karnataka are sick of Congress and its corruption. BJP and PM Modi realise and are willing to take advantage of this situation to overthrow Congress from yet another state.
