These reformatory measures have also been highly appreciated and welcomed by the Indian public. It feels even better, when industries from other countries that used to shy away from setting shop in India owing to ‘red tapism’ and bureaucracy, are now lining up to set up manufacturing units and do business in India. Apple and Boeing are two prominent companies which are eager to expand their business in India. From smartphones to cargo planes, anything can be made in India. Ian Bremmer is an American political scientist and the President of Eurasia Group which specializes in political risk research and consulting. Eurasia Group’s offices in over 5 countries, along with his experience of over 20 years in political risk make Ian Bremmer an authority in the field of economics across borders.
In a video which can be found circulating across social media, the President of Eurasia Group can be seen praising Prime Minister Modi and his policies. He calls Prime Minister Modi a clean and capable leader, who is truly incorruptible.
According to Ian Bremmer, PM Modi is extremely popular among the masses, and this combined with his incorruptibility is what enables him to take brave decisions. The policies of PM Modi have led Bremmer to name India as the biggest centre of opportunity in the world today. This is a huge push for India as it competes against China and other more developed economies in the world. Ian Bremmer goes on to say that PM Modi’s stance against corruption where ‘he doesn’t want any for himself’ doesn’t let anyone else engage in under the table transactions, and says this is what has really changed the way European and American companies look at India today.
He backs the approach of PM Modi to provide the Indian population with the money and resources to make India sustainable on its own. The belief of the people was restored in PM Modi and his vision to take India forward on the road of progress. This has enabled PM Modi to go ahead with difficult decisions such as cutting the layers of bureaucracy, GST implementation and the extremely bold demonetisation. This was necessary, according to Ian Bremmer, for India to develop and grow at a greater pace. He also commended the stint of PM Modi as Gujarat CM, claiming that someone who visited Gujarat during his tenure could visibly see the opportunities therein.

This is not the first time that Ian Bremmer and other learned heads of organizations from around the world have applauded PM Modi. In an article published on November 29, 2017 in Hindustan Times, Ian Bremmer had applauded PM Modi and his “ambitious” foreign policy. He hailed PM Modi’s efforts to put the national interests of India ahead of everything else in all his diplomatic talks. The neighbouring countries of India have already started looking up to us in order to curb the Red Dragon’s appetite for more land and resources. It is fortunate that we have a PM like ours at a time when India needs to grow fast. Ian Bremmer and other learned people from outside India have realised what the Indian public realised in 2014 and still believe in, that India needs PM Modi to stay at the top.
