A Handy list of Abusive trolls: Because when Rahul Gandhi meets trolls, trolls aren’t trolls

One of the common features of political discourse at any level is differentiating between identical elements on either side. The same is the case with the issue of trolls on social media today. The attitude of those crying foul is that our trolls are godsent saviours while their trolls should be thrown off social media. This is particularly true for sections of the mainstream media and political commentators in India, which label those supporting the “right wing” in India as extremists and trolls even if they try to raise their voice, but maintain pin drop silence if anyone from their ideological tribe makes extremely unacceptable and shameful comments.

This phenomenon has been exposed yet again. BJP spokesperson Suresh Nakhua has shared a number of instances where some bigots infamous for abusive and shameful comments seem to be closely associated to the Congress President Rahul Gandhi. These left-leaning individuals use unmentionable abuses as a matter of course, targeting those who refuse to align with their ideology. These social media and real life hooligans are not only followed by Rahul Gandhi, but have been photographed with the incapable leader. It appears that they maintain a close relationship among themselves. In fact, some of these individuals like Sanjiv Bhatt and Abhishek Mishra have been either closely associated with the Congress,or have been a part of the organisational structure of the Congress.

However, the mainstream media which had in the past protested against some “trolls” who were allegedly BJP supporters are now maintaining painstaking silence over Rahul Gandhi being closely involved with such individuals, who are a disgrace to democratic discussions and deliberations. The self acclaimed moderators of Indian democracy and the make-believe fact checking websites now seem to be least bothered by the filthy character of those hurling abuses at the BJP, its leaders and even its supporters. Some illustrations of filthy language employed by Congress agents have been shared by Suresh Nakhua. See for yourself and understand the kind of narrative that the Congress and its president espouse.

Was waiting for 'mainstream' media to do analysis of ppl whom @RahulGandhi , President of @INCIndia and whom he follows but alas …..

— Suresh Nakhua (Modi Ka Parivar) 🇮🇳 (@SureshNakhua) April 3, 2018

Remember, how those who are now acting as if nothing objectionable has happened had reacted when it was claimed by second-rate websites infamous for spreading fake stories and sections of the mainstream media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is following abusive “trolls” on social media. The so called liberals and proponents of free speech started writing aggressively against the BJP. Even though they could not prove that the BJP shares a working relationship with any of these individuals, the BJP and the Prime Minister were sought to be portrayed as abusive hate-mongers. A daily newspaper whose ideological inclinations are now out in the open even led a campaign called ‘Lets talk about trolls’. Barkha Dutt observed ‘Anti-trolling day’. Opposition parties as well as certain sections of the “elite” civil society even started the #BlockNarendraModi trend, which naturally turned out to be a monumental failure. Therefore, an attempt was made to blow things out of proportion and to shift the entire blame for the acts of random social media users on the Prime Minister.

However, the leftist journalists and stooges failed in their desperate bid to pursue their agenda and create a false narrative. The BJP gave befitting answers to all the questions that were raised and rightly argued that the Prime Minister routinely followed people on the social media. He even follows Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, and that is testament enough that his following anyone cannot be taken as a character certificate. Even Arvind Kejriwal behaves in an unruly manner, using terminologies like “psychopath” and “coward”. If the Prime Minister has followed someone on Twitter, it should not be taken to mean that the Prime Minister subscribes to the conduct of that individual.

BJP spokesperson, Suresh Nakhua deserves all the credit for exposing the Congress’ hypocrisy on the use of abusive language on the social media. He has also taken down the mainstream media’s narrative, which wanted to implicate the Prime Minister on the basis of whom he follows on the social media.
