PM Modi Demolished Kejriwal without even speaking a word against him, now it’s Shatrughan Sinha’s Turn

Prime Minister Modi is the smartest player of the game of politics out there. While his BJP Predecessor Atal Bihar Vajpayee was the master of pauses, PM Modi is the king of extempore, but he does know when to speak, “how much” to speak, what to speak and when to maintain a stoic silence. PM Modi excels in the art of ignoring his opponents, a well-laid out trap that his opponents Ignorantly overlook and get ensnared in. The immediate consequence of it is a steep fall of the image of his adversaries in the eyes of the people. Something similar happened to Kejriwal. Kejriwal loved taking unsubtle digs at PM Modi and PM Modi never considered him worthy of a retort. This went on for some time, people eventually got bored of Kejriwal’s antics, Kejriwal’s political fortunes sank. He switched to silent mode, but it was too late by then.

Prime Minister Modi’s silent killer has proved to be even more effective than his vocal bombs. Modi has often used this weapon on adversaries from different parties, sometimes even on unfriendly insiders. Now take the example of Shatrughan Sinha. After Modi’s swearing in, Shatrughan Sinha hoped that he would be given the post of a minister but Modi isn’t the one to play by the rules. He decided his Cabinet on his own and assigned greater weight to talent and performance than seniority of a leader. Hence the anger of Shatrughan Sinha wasn’t exactly unfounded but soon the subtle signs of resentment turned into bitter rants.

Shatrughan Sinha openly speaks against Prime Minister Modi, his government and its policies

Shatrughan Sinha is a BJP MP, however his ‘Shot Gun’ is almost always pointed towards his own party rather than the opposition. Following ‘Apno Pe Sitam, Gairo Pe Karam‘ brand of politics, Shatrughan Sinha is often found praising the Congress too. Shatrughan Sinha had recently made strong statements against PM Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Minister Smriti Irani. In a program, Shatrughan Sinha said that if a lawyer can speak on financial matters, a TV Actress can become HRD Minister and if a tea seller can achieve so much then why can we not oppose Demonetisation and GST? Shatrughan Sinha has been a vocal critic of GST and demonetisation.

Shatrughan Sinha has been commentating on almost every ‘pressing’ issue in the country and never misses an opportunity to attack Modi and the government. Recently, on the ongoing controversy over Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati, Shatrughan Sinha demanded that Prime Minister Modi and Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani should break their silence before film artists.

Shatrughan Sinha hasn’t just criticized the government, but has also made fun of ministers and party president Amit Shah

BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha also ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ministers. On Thursday, he said that no one even knows about 90 percent Cabinet ministers. Whereas, no one respects the remaining 10 per cent. Shatrughan Sinha also took digs at Prime Minister Modi and party President Amit Shah. He said that the country is being governed by “One Man Show” and run by “Two Man Army”.

Shatrughan Sinha’s shaky stand on Pakistan and Kanhaiya Kumar

Sinha did not stop there, speaking on the issue of the release of Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Hafeez Saeed in Pakistan, Shatrughan Sinha said that talks with Pakistan should continue, come what may. While he fully knows the government’s stand on this subject. He also wrote in support of Kanhaiya Kumar in a tweet, “I am happy that Hon’ble court granted bail to Kanhaiya, good that he has been released from jail.” So basically, Sinha ji opposes the government in every way he can. This has been one of the biggest reasons behind his sinking image in the eyes of the people because people seem to be on the side of the government in the matters of JNU, Kanhaiyya and Pakistan.

Had Indira been alive, I would have been in Congress

Shatrughan Sinha considers Congress party a powerhouse of talent. After praising Lalu, Nitish and Kejriwal, Shatrughan is now a fan of Rahul Gandhi too. While praising the Congress, Shatrughan said, “The talent pool in the Congress is tremendous. Manmohan Singh is a knowledgeable man. Indira Gandhi was the best Prime Minister of the country. He even said that if Indira Gandhi was alive today, he would probably be in Congress. Shatrughan further said, “While I am a star, I am not a star campaigner, but you know how popular I am? People love me so much, but the party doesn’t care about it.”

The name Modi is magical. Chanting this magical name many a politicians and journalists made careers for them. The apathy that Modi exhibits for Sinha has made him even more bitter. When people don’t get response from their prime targets, they tend to lose their minds and become more aggressive. And Shatrughan Sinha is one of the more verbose ones. PM Modi’s indifference made Sinha shed the outwardly guise of friendship and come out in the open, all (shot)guns blazing. A Sore loser, as Arun Jaitley would put it (Jaitley used it for Mayawati after UP elections).

Shatrughan Sinha knows that his party is not in the mood to send him to the Parliament next time. Now he wants to extract one word of response from PM Modi against him so that he can use it to create an issue, garner some sympathy and win the upcoming election his own.

The Prime Minister however is not speaking a word against Sinha and the party is in no mood to sack him, hence Sinha appears all the more irritated. Sinha Sahab has forgotten one thing that every time he attacks PM Modi he loses a substantial chunk of his followers. Shatrughan Sinha might be a superstar of yesteryear, but it is PM Modi who rules the political Box Office and will rule it for a very long time.
