The proof of the pudding is only when you eat it!! That is as far as the saying goes. Trupti Desai must have realized that, tackling Muslims and Hindus regards discrimination of women at places of worship is entirely 2 different situations. While one was akin to handling a ball in your hands. Throw it in whichever direction you want and catch it. The other is like handling burning coal in your hands. You have no alternative but to drop the coal.
The News Traders and Pseudo Seculars had a field day on Trupti Desai ‘s attempts at entry into the Shani Shingapur Shrine. No amount of reasoning convinced her and her motley gang otherwise. The 21st Century Hindu took it into his/her stride. They watched with amusement at their antics, and finally the Court delivered its verdict (conveyed by a Hindu Judge) to allow entry for women too in the inner sanctum. All Hindus welcomed it. There were the usual protests before the verdict. But, this was 21st Century. All protests were brushed under.
Glasses filled with Champagne were clicked, eulogies were exchanged, and Hinduism was cornered again. The Hinduism which was compared to ISIS was shown its place. The Hinduism which was the source of evil in Secular India was trumped upon. RSS & BJP and Saffron gang were left fuming (as it was perceived), TRPs registered an increase, excellent work done. Congratulations to all involved!!!
What next?? The ease with which resistance at Shani Shingapur crumbled indicated that a similar such situation in any temple across the Country too would see a similar result. So, was that it? No further drama? No further challenge? How better it would have been if the circus would have pulled on? The more the coverage the more Hinduism can be derided. But what happened seemed to be an anti-climax.
One particular TV Channel raised the issue of Haji Ali Dargah in the same breath as Shani Shingapur, during the entire circus. Was it on purpose? Or was it in all fairness? But, how can
it be fair? A Dargah is not a Mosque in the 1st place. If a Temple was breached in Hinduism, then it has to be a Mosque which has to be breached in Islam. Since, if Temple is a symbol of Hinduism, then it was the Mosque which was the symbol of Islam. Then why chose a softer target, which was a Dargah? Which was basically a tomb and not a place of worship. People visit a Dargah to basically pay their reverence to the Sufi Saint in whose memory the Tomb was built. Something was not adding up.
The pressure was building up on Trupti Desai and her gang to show that they be fair in their assessment on discrimination at places of worship. So, what do they chose? They chose a Dargah. Which is considered a softer target then a temple. Since, 75% of visitors to a Dargah are Hindus themselves. But the average Hindu is gullible. He/she would think that we are being fair by targeting Muslims too. He/she will not realize that a Dargah is least important to a Muslim as a place of worship. So, let’s start the circus. After all, we are a travelling circus.
Media friends on board, Coverage starts, announcements made, Circus commences. Then, the unexpected happens. Muslims start taking interest in the entire drama. What? A Hindu woman and her crew are trying to change our way of life? How can it be? Arey Bhai, why are u concerned? As it is you never entered a Dargah. Dargahs are anti-Islam! Our fathers in Saudi as well as our Deobandi Fathers have issued fatwas against Dargahs and Sufis. So why the interest? Let the Hindu lady go and do a snake dance at the Dargah for all we care.
No way!!! The entire Media has trolled this place as a Muslim Place of Worship. So even though we as Muslims have never entered the Dargah and do not consider this as a place of worship, but, due to the Hype created, people will think Islam has been cornered and won upon, if they succeed. These stupid, gutless, spineless Hindus can allow Hinduism to be cornered in their own country. But, we being Muslims cannot allow this to happen, even if we are a Minority. We never allowed this to happen. How can we now?
Let’s send our message across to our Protectors, namely the Secular Political Parties & Liberals to warn the Heroine of this Circus. Subsequently, lets ourselves send a tough message to her through our groups, ‘Back off! Or else!!!’ The same Secular Parties who had congratulated Trupti Desai on her fantastic victory over Hinduism and conversely on RSS/BJP, openly trolled her to back off. Muslim groups were ready with their alternatives if Trupti Desai and her group refused to oblige the warnings. The entire procedure of Pressure tactics worked.
Trupti Desai who presumed the entire action to be a piece of cake realized that, there was a distinct and clear possibility of Trupti Desai and her gang to become ‘has beens’ from the ‘happening’. This was not part of the plot. Not at all!!
Better at home singing Bhajans rather than involving in a fracas with an intolerant. Over and above a Muslim Intolerant. After all he was a 21st Century Muslim supported by a 21st Century Hindu Liberal & Secular.
Let them both be happy, and let me chose the next Hindu Temple as my next target. I and my team are safer that way!
