Manish Sisodia: No Degrees Found

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree has been at the centerstage for some days now. Surely, it is not mere coincidence that Delhi CM and self-proclaimed broker of Honesty, Arvind Kejriwal chose to be at his shrillest best to divert attention from scams of the UPA government. After days of name calling, a press conference called by Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley presented PM’s degree put this controversy to rest. Or at least that is what one thought would happen. Many AAPtards whose thinking faculties have been severely compromised by their leaders’s relentless propaganda and disinformation campaign have labelled the degrees fake. Be that as it may, skeletons now seem to be tumbling out of AAP’s dark closet. In the aftermath of PM’s degree issue, two significant allegations were raised against Kejriwal himself. While the first indicated that he got through IIT KGP through some ‘backdoor’ route, the second insinuated that Arvind Kejriwal was never an IRS officer, something he has been claiming for long. Our Main stream media with their mouths stuffed full of Agusta dollars and their independence bought over by local politicians, have maintained defeaning silence on both these issues. Had it not been for Social Media, these issues would probably never even have come to the fore. However, now it seems that Arvind Kejriwal is not alone in lying through his dirty teeth. Reports surfacing on Social Media allude to the fact that his Lieutenant and partner-in-crime, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia is himself embroiled in a fake degree controversy.

Last year, around this time, news reports began to emerge that Manish Sisodia’s claimed PG Degree in Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was fake. A former Resident Editor of Hindustan Times claimed that Manish Sisodia’s degree was of a time when the said former Resident Editor used to teach at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

He claimed that he does not remember that Sisodia was a student at that time. There was probably no further investigation into this matter and given Main Stream Media’s treatment of AAP with kid gloves, the matter was given a quiet burial. It now emerges that this was merely the tip of the iceberg. An individual named Anil Mattoo had filed an RTI seeking Manish Sisodia’s educational qualifications from Amitabh Kundoo, PIO in Delhi Chief Secretary’s office has come back with the response that there is no record of Manish Sisodia’s Educational qualifications, from 10th to his doubtful PG.

RTI rply frm Delhi govt- NO record of Deputy CM degree, his approved projects, expenditure from MLA fund#ThankYouNaMo pic.twitter.com/pHUgxVzj2b

— Anil Mattoo 🇮🇳 (@AnilMatt00) May 14, 2016

It may seem like a typical sarkari mistake, but the fact is that education details of those holding office must be available with the government. Additionally, it now emerges that Manish Sisodia’s educational qualifications are unknown to everyone. It seems no department has details of his educational qualifications. One would believe that those living in glass houses wouldn’t throw stones at others, but the feisty AAP, with the ample indulgence it gets from paid Media has recently chosen to do just that.

Manish Sisodia’s missing educational qualifications, at the very least, point towards administrative impropriety. At its most, it could be the tip of iceberg of a fraud of gigantic proportions. It is worthwhile to note that at least 4 of AAP ministers are already embroiled in cases related to discrepancy in their educational qualifications. The addition of Deputy CM, Manish Sisodia to that accursed list would do Arvind Kejriwal no good.

While the missing educational degrees of Manish Sisodia is something that arouses curiosity, Much more serious is the fact that the government has no records of Manish Sisodia’s expenditure from his MLA-LAD funds.

Simply put, it is an enigma how Manish Sisodia is spending his funds as an MLA or funds belonging to his ministry. This is as serious a case as it can get.

Serious allegations of financial impropriety can be made against Manish Sisodia. Absence of information regarding expenditures can raise serious and pertinent questions on how and where are the funds being spent? If these allegations are indeed true or even have a semblance of truth in them, they could poke a big hole in Arvind Kejriwal and AAP’s tall claims on fighting corruption. At the very least, Delhi CM should institute an enquiry against Manish Sisodia. If Arvind Kejriwal is still an iota of a man that he was in 2011, he should ask Manish Sisodia to step down till such time the investigations are on.

To be honest, it seems unlikely that there will be any action basis these allegations. In all likelihood, AAP and Arvind Kejriwal will probably now seek some two-bit BJP councillor’s degree and try and obfuscate facts of this case. Paid Media will go all out in ensuring that not a trace of these allegations finds a mention anywhere.

God forbid, if these allegations persist, AAP spokesman, Ashutosh will appear in front of cameras, shed crocodile tears, while claiming that degrees of several BJP leaders are not in order and hence Manish Sisodia cannot be hauled over coals. AAP’s response to allegations against them has become so typical these days that it is possible to guess their response. Typical obfuscation of facts followed by long, dreary TV interviews, followed by Dharnas and Shor-Sharaba, followed by a blistering attack on someone else by Arvind Kejriwal. AAP’s strategy of diverting public’s attention from their shortcomings has worked every time so far. But this time, it is different. Manish Sisodia is no small time MLA. He happens to be Delhi’s Deputy CM, a close confidant of Arvind Kejriwal

It remains to be seen whether Arvind Kejriwal the politician will once again trounce the idealist Arvind Kejriwal of 2012?
