Swamy in Rajya Sabha: Here’s why Congress should be scared

Swamy in RS

Swamy in Rajya Sabha is a winner on all grounds. BJP needs an economist, it has Dr. Swamy, the economist. BJP needs to promote Hindutva, it has Dr. Subramanian Swamy, the Hindutva intellectual. BJP needs a master diplomat, it has a Statesman in Dr. Swamy. BJP also needs to negotiate on political terms, they have the Chanakya of 21st century, Dr. Swamy. And above all the BJP needs to expose the corrupt, it has the anti-corruption crusader, Dr. Swamy.

The BJP won a historical mandate in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. The main agendas at hand with the NDA Government was an anti-corruption crusade after 10 years of blatant corruption at the Centre while the agenda of the BJP and the RSS along with its family organisations was the promotion of Hindutva and rightly so as the BJP had won the elections by pitching in the idea of a Hindu Nationalist Prime Minister even as the liberals tried to give a communal colour to the same. The masses fortunately understood the difference between Hindutva and Hinduism.

Given the said agendas Dr. Subramanian Swamy was a perfect leader for a critical position in the government of the day. Swamy has two fold benefits for the BJP, being a campaigned leader who was instrumental in exposing the Government of scams, the so called Manmohan Government and at the same time being an expert at the promotion of Hindutva and his ability to cause a reconnaissance in Hinduism by reasoning against caste barriers and being an ardent proponent of gender justice. The reality however is that until now Swamy did not hold any position of great importance either in the Government or the party structure. Nomination of Subramanian Swamy as a member to the Rajya Sabha, where the BJP is already in need of an experienced Statesman was long overdue. Not only this, Dr. Subramanian Swamy is a complete politician in the true sense of the term and his expertise encompasses the lethal, economic and diplomatic fields. He is the perfect example of a multi-tasking politician.

Here’s why Swamy in Rajya Sabha is going to be a nightmare for the already dying Communist and Congress as well as an end for the ambitious ‘Mahagathbandhan’ project.

Swamy in Rajya Sabha: Anti-Corruption Crusader

Arvind Kejriwal had a 370 page evidence against Sheila Dixit and a number of other leaders, where is that evidence? It was wavered emphatically in media reports and is now lost somewhere in the past amid ‘secular’ brotherhood of the Congress and the AAP. Even Dr. Subramanian Swamy had some some evidence while making serious allegations against the Congress. What did he do with that evidence? Dr. Subramanian Swamy didn’t indulge in any cheap publicity but took the matter to the highest tribunal of the country and made some serious inroads by exposing the Sonia Government (officially called the Manmohan Government) in the 2G case which went on to become one of the reasons behind the decimation of the INC. Who is actually an anti-corruption crusader among Kejriwal and Swamy, the answer is crystal clear. Some of the Congress’ misdeeds are still coming up, a greater role for Swamy will help the BJP in pushing ahead its ‘clean’ image and getting a definite advantage over its adversaries.

Swamy in Rajya Sabha: Hindutvavadi with a reformative soul:

Dr. Swamy is a great exponent of Indian culture and speaks for preserving the same but at the same time he understands how to use the same in propagating the ideas of gender and social justice. He knows how to use the ideals of epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana as arguments for ending the caste system and promoting the idea of women empowerment. For example, the worship of a plethora of women deities in Hinduism or how Rama, a Kshatriya kills Ravana, a Brahmin in Ramayana. He can thus help the BJP in retaining its Hindutva agenda strongly and at the same time silence the pseudo liberals.

Swamy in Rajya Sabha: Influential Politician

Dr. Swamy has been in the limelight for the last 2 or 3 decades. He has been proactive in several governments and oppositions as an influential politician, whether it was during emergency or the Narshima Rao Government’s tenure. Today, as the BJP battles for making ground in the Rajya Sabha and Arun Jaitley seems to be the only sensible leader in the Rajya Sabha as far as keeping the obstructive opposition in check is concerned, the inclusion of Dr. Swamy is more than welcome. Being an effective orator and an influential politician, Swamy can help the BJP in staging several turnarounds and make inroads among an ever uniting opposition.

His contribution in diplomatic relations with China is astounding, in fact it was he who initiated dialogue with China after several decades of severed ties between the two countries, on instructions from the then Shankaracharaya. His diplomatic efforts were awarded with permission for the Mansarovar Yatra and invitation to lead the first batch for the same.

Swamy in Rajya Sabha: Conclusion

It would indeed be scintillating to watch Finance Minister Arun Jaitley reply calmly to opposition claims and allegations from one end while Dr. Swamy rips apart the opposition aggressively from the other end. The strength of BJP would actually double with his nomination and in case the rift between the Finance Minister and Dr. Swamy turns out to be a mere rumour, then the Opposition is in for some serious trouble.

Swamy, the economist, who predicted that dollar would come down to Rs. 35 within 2 years of modi’s rule. Frustrated to see budding lawyers being totally blind and write nonsense.

It can come down even now if RBI decides, but then FDI, Exports would collapse overnight.

Swamy has said many more things which have come true, it seems you are interested in only those which haven’t. Lets put in some facts, he said he will never allow saina maino or raul vinci to become prime minister. He has done that, he said to expose corrution of chidambaram, aircel marxis deal, all that is going on in courts.
