There is a code of conduct for Muslims in India. I mean they need to follow every other Muslim practice but here in India they have an additional burden. The addition burden of not voting for the Bhartiya Janata Party, a digression from which means blasphemy. Something of this sort happened in Assam where a Muslim Man divorced his wife because she dared to vote for BJP.

In a bizarre turn of events a Muslim man reportedly divorced his wife in an Assam village when she decided to vote for BJP, going against the village diktat to vote for Congress during the state Assembly elections.
The incident, reported in Assam’s regional newspapers, took place in a village named Donam Addahati in Sonitpur district, where the village heads apparently have a strong inclination towards the Congress.
The village leaders are said to have passed a diktat that made it mandatory for the villagers to vote for Congress.
However, one Dilwara Begum, wife of Ainuddin, decided to defy the order and cast her vote in favour of BJP candidate Pramod Borathakur.
When she reportedly informed her husband about the decision, he, in a fit of anger, decided to divorce her and end their marriage of 10 years.
It is an open secret that Muslim leaders and clergy have a domineering presence over the mindsets of an average Muslim Man. They ghost-direct the moves of an ordinary Muslim Man thereby converting him into an obedient slave. But the way a nondescript Village Body is issuing diktats for voting against a particular party is not just shocking but also undemocratic.
Congress Party and some of its regional allies are considered Messiahs by Muslims in India . The truth is that socio-economic status of Muslims in India has registered a very slow growth despite all those years of Congress in Power. The Congress led government tries its best to showcase its pro minority stand but the reality is drastically different. In spite of so many Muslim universities, schools, scholarship programs, reservations, welfare schemes the results are far from satisfactory.
Let us workout our creative muscles for a bit. Think for a moment, that in a far flung village, the wife of a Hindu votes for an AIMIM candidate. Will there be a scuffle at home? Well yes, if the family is totally into politics and the man has a fair idea about AIMIM and its agenda and he happens to hate them. Will the scuffle result into a divorce? This is a fairly strange world and nothing can be overruled as impossible but yes the probability of a divorce is highly unlikely. But still, let us assume that the man tosses his wife aside and the waft of this news hits the nostrils of a media house. What will happen in that case?
Well folks, there will be a mini riot, right on your tv screen. Secular Politicians will again start the “Intolerance in India” debate, Big Bindi feminists will brand Hinduism as a misogynistic religion and Hindu women as the oppressed class. But thankfully none of this happened. Since this happened in a Muslim Household, the probability of this transforming into a nationwide debate about Women, their electoral choices and marital rights is zero So Hindus can afford to relax and India as a country can afford to stay tolerant for a while.
