Rise of the Hindu Voter: Battle lines are clearly drawn

It has been a fantastic roller coaster these 22 months, starting from May 2014 after the General Elections. The ruling party had 2 clear choices:

Like the Vajpayee govt, put their head down and implement schemes and policies, and wait for the MSM hyper activity to commence in the last 1 year just before 2019 to blow them away.

Inferring that, till 2018, they (the government) don’t know who is with them, who isn’t, thinking all is rosy.

The image of the defeat in 2004 is still fresh on my mind like a bad body spray. Where many allies of the NDA like the TDP, PMK, etc deserted them. Though, not giving the Opposition much to talk about other then the so called ‘Coffin Scam’, and in spite of a spirited ‘India Shining’ campaign, the NDA/BJP crashed to their defeat. And, in spite of a major Military success at Kargil.

The Submissive Passive Hindu Voter

Or, to go for the 2nd Option, which is, to clearly draw the battle lines. Doesn’t matter if in the process they lose a few states in the bargain. It is clear now, the fight is for the Passive, Submissive Hindu vote. It is ample clear with a capital ‘A’ that, the minorities will never vote for the BJP. Minorities are always voting close to 100%. It was the Hindu who was always voting in the low 40-50%, bringing the overall voting percentages to around 50-60%. If one calculates the voting pattern and percentages, it was evident that the BJP was tapping as high as 70-80% of the Hindu votes being polled.

The Rise of the Hindu Voter

But, post 2014, including 2014, the overall voting percentages were showing signs of increase. Inferring that, Hindus were coming out to vote. This has alarmed the opposition and sent an indication to the BJP that, the Hindu voter has to be completely tapped. But, the Hindu Voter has proved that, he is perhaps the most self destructive voter in the whole world. He has ably proved that he himself doesn’t know what he wants. He needs to be guided by someone whom to vote. While the Minority Voter has confirmed his voting target, the Hindu voter out of ‘Self Righteousness’ is waiting till the last moment, whom to, or whom not to vote. This was where the MSM started to play a very highly dangerous game. Since, 2004, every election which the Congress/Seculars have been winning is due to the active participation of the MSM.

I clearly remember and followed all the Opinion Polls of 2009, which showed a massive 300+ seats to the NDA. But what happened after the counting sent me and many BJP supporters like me into a coma for a several days. NDA/BJP performed even lower than in 2004. This was entirely the doing of the MSM.

The MSM, ironically led and owned by Hindus had won the following elections for the Congress & Seculars:

  • 2004 General Elections
  • 2009 General Elections
  • 3 consecutive Maharashtra Assembly elections.
  • 2015 Bihar Elections
  • 2014 Delhi Elections
  • Several State Elections between 2004 till date, with the exception of MP, Gujarat & Chattisgarh.

They were doing all this by swaying the Passive & Submissive Hindu voter s.

The BJP I believe has evolved a strategy to clearly identify those within our society, specifically among Hindus, as to who is working against them openly. This was not clear all these years. Which was one of the main reasons they have been losing post 2004, including 2004. It has clearly led the narrative to identify its enemies. Whether within the Cine World (who I personally feel is the epicenter of our Pseudo Secular Narrative), Literary world, Academic World, Intelligentsia and finally the MSM. This definitely led to initial setbacks of Delhi & Bihar, but, what it has done is to clearly identify its enemies, and re-align the entire opposition.

One would feel that the controversy over Beef, Pakistan, PDP, Rohith Vemula, JNU, Freedom of speech, Nationalism-Anti Nationalism, etc, are hitting the BJP hard, as the MSM are claiming hoarse. But, I feel that, the BJP is emerging stronger. In fact, I can see the fear of the BJP is so much entrenched that certain Anchors are actually sitting on the edge of their seats while delivering their news or interviews. The Social Media has contributed a lot in this newly evolved BJP. The Social Media has become its Digital Shakhas.

I can take pride in the fact that, though Politicians are ready to shed the JNU & Rohith Vemula controversy and are ready to move forward, the Social Media Mob are reluctant to let things go by. Monthly Opinion Polls by the MSM makes me laugh even in my most seriously grunting moments.

I could not but help snigger at the Online Poll about the speech comparisons between our PM, Rahul & Kanhaiya.

One, a 28yr old ‘young’ student, dependant on State Grants for his education. And, who while not studying is raising anti-India slogans as a pass time. One, a 42 year old Political scion who doesn’t know what to do with his hands while delivering his speech. And, who has to be shouted and asked by the ruling party MPs not to leave while the PM is delivering a speech. And one a 63 year old Bachelor, who works non-stop for 12 hours a day, and begins his day with a strict Yoga Regimen, and who hasn’t taken a single day off since assuming office.

All in all 2019 promises to be a cliff hanger, whereas United and Single Opposition will take on the might of a single BJP and a man called Narendra Modi. And, I, least of all won’t be a bit upset if the BJP falls short, since, the ultimate picture would be clear for all.

That, the BJP is a permanent etch on the Psyche of each and every Indian.

But I am sure Shri Narendra Modi, and his hungry pack like Anurag Thakur, Smriti Irani and others would beg to differ.

Sitting 5000 Kms away from my Mother-land I would say the biggest Mouth-watering battle to be keenly awaited and watched would be the 2019 battle at Amethi.
