JNU Controversy: Liberals – Their hollow arguments, their gross generalizations, their weak defense

As we know, Cognitive Dissonance is the Hallmark of the Liberal. The Liberal point of view falls flat on Multiple Accounts when judged strictly on the basis of facts and therefore, they rely overwhelmingly on propaganda to brainwash the masses into believing their version of events. And the bewildering series of events that has ensued since the crackdown of the government on the Anti-Nationals at JNU, it has left the hypocrisy of the liberals horribly and irrevocably exposed.

JNU Controversy: The blatant efforts to generalize ‘nationalists’

First things first, as Arnab Goswami rightly pointed out, there was a blatant effort made by certain sections of the Media, all of us know which, to generalize the behavior of the lawyers at Patiala House Court to be the general outcome of Nationalism. It is utterly disgraceful that a bunch of lumpens attacking some ungrateful sods have been portrayed as the Torch Bearers of Patriotism.

JNU Controversy: All of India is intolerant but All of JNU is not guilty

What really really leaves me bewildered is that the same section of population which screams Terrorism has No Religion after every Terrorist Attack wastes no time in portraying Nationalism as evil owing to some hooligans in the Patiala Court. What I find equally bewildering is that the section of population which painted all of India as Intolerant have no compunction in sermonizing that the entire JNU shouldn’t be regarded as Anti-National. Well, of course, the fact that our powers of discrimination tend to be much better than theirs has been lost on them it seems.

JNU Controversy: Umar the hapless victim

Another piece of authentic crap, for the lack of a better word, was penned by some author at Scroll.in (read Troll.in) which claimed Omar Khalid has been wrongfully painted as an Anti-National and a Muslim by large sections of the population. Sure, my friend, I feel extremely guilty that I mistook Omar Khalid for a Muslim after hearing him scream ‘Insha Allah Insha Allah.’ Because the first thing that should have come to my mind is, “Wow, what a wonderful young atheist he is!” Also, I feel a great sense of guilt of having thought of him as an Anti-National because those Anti-India slogans should make any sensible person think that he is a great great patriot. Even Troll.in has outdone itself here. And quite unsurprisingly, the gallon of unadulterated bile that it is, the article was shared by none other than Saba Naqvi, the beacon of Intellect of Modern India.

JNU Controversy: The openmindedness of the openminded

Also, I find it suspicious, very suspicious, that an overwhelming majority of these so called ‘Freethinkers’ and ‘Open Minded’ people, terms which our youth absolutely loves to associate themselves with these days, invariably toe the line of the Leftist Mainstream Media. I am horribly saddened by the fact that being ‘Open Minded’ has been reduced to screaming for Freedom of Speech when the Leftist Media tells them to, the term has been reduced to describe people who just jump on the Bandwagon without analyzing and evaluating both the sides of the story and coming to a logical conclusion utilizing the full capacities of one’s mental faculties. As Richard Dawkins once said, “By all means, let’s be open-minded but not so open-minded that our brains drop out.”

One classic defense of the JNU treachery by the Bleeding heart Liberals has been “Slogans do not hurt anyone. As long as there are no acts of Violence, Sloganeering is fine.” What they consistently fail to notice is the Slogans were not just Slogans, they were open threats to destroy the Indian Union, there was open incitement to wage war against India. Like I said, at the Altar of Liberalism, facts are gleefully Sacrificed. Also, if words really do not hurt anyone, then why are death threats taken so seriously? It is because they present the possibility of a credible threat and until a thorough investigation has been conducted, we cannot conclude if there’s an actual threat or not. Brushing everything under the carpet saying ‘Slogans Never hurt anyone’ is callousness of the highest order.

JNU Controversy: The Global clout

On opening my Facebook profile this morning, I saw someone from my college share a photo which showed students of Cambridge University showing Solidarity with the Students of JNU. I find it rather amazing that students of Cambridge University even dare to speak about Freedom of Speech in India when 4 out of 5 Universities in the United Kingdoms do not comply with the Freedom of Speech Regulations. I will start taking these kids seriously when they stand in Solidarity with the Milo Yiannopoulos, the Conservative Homosexual, who’s running a campaign ‘Dangerous Faggot’ to protect Freedom of Speech at Universities. I will start taking these kids seriously when they stand in solidarity with Tommy Robinson, the man who’s leading a great Campaign to stop the Islamization of Europe. I didn’t even hear a whine from these kids when a widely popular petition was signed by hundreds and thousands of Brits demanding a ban on Donald Trump’s entry into the United Kingdoms. It was only when Donald Trump threatened to take back investments worth millions that these clowns finally stopped making a noise. The point is these people are not advocates of Free Speech, they are Enemies of Free Speech masquerading as Patron Saints of Speech by supporting Slogans no one in their right minds would support.

JNU Controversy: Anti Nationalism is the new cool

And I have saved the worst for the last. I was appalled, absolutely appalled, that some Indians were actually trending ‪#‎IAmAntiNational on Twitter. And the trend was started by the Usual Suspects. Only a day after a Soldier of the Indian Army cried on television, these insensitive selfish unethical ungrateful sods trend something as audacious as this and still have the audacity to assert their Moral Superiority over us. On top of that, Vikram Chandra of NDTV shamefully mocked General Bakshi’s tears calling it a drama. NDTV is an absolute disgrace in the name of Journalism, an absolute disgrace.

And lastly, the Students of our generation at Elite Universities fail to understand that Freedom, all sorts of Freedom, comes at a price and they need to realize that their attitude of ‘Being against Nationalism is the new Cool,’ is horribly misguided and tragically misplaced. Nationalism, my dear friends, is what helps you sleep better at night. Nationalism is what inspired Khudiram Bose and Bhagat Singh to walk willingly to the Gallows so that one day we might walk free with our head held high. Nationalism is what Braveheart Hanumanthappa gave his life for and countless other soldiers sacrifice their lives for without any hesitation. Nationalism is what made the whole of India come together when 26/11 happened or in the latest Chennai Floods. Nationalism is why we celebrate the achievements of each and every Indian on the Global Stage. We shall not let a few Lawyers change that fact.
