What will be your reaction when you stumble upon the following lines in an article titled “Congress ki kushal saarthi Sonia Gandhi (Sonia Gandhi, The able charioteer of Congress”)?
- Had Nehru taken the views of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Kashmir into consideration, the situation would have been different.
- Nehru is to blamed for the state of affairs in Kashmir, China and Tibet
- Despite Patel getting the post of Deputy Prime Minister and first Home Minister of Independent India, the relations between Nehru and Patel remained strained
- Both Nehru and Patel had threatened to resign time and again
- Patel tried to caution Nehru against China’s policy towards Tibet, in which Patel described China as “unfaithful, and a future enemy of India.”
- Vallabh bhai Patel opposed Nehru’s move of taking the Kashmir issue to the UN
And to top them all:
- Sonia Gandhi became Congress president only 62 days after becoming a member and she made a failed attempt to form government.
- SONIA GANDHI’S FATHER STEPHANO MAINO WAS A FORMER FASCIST SOLDIER
You’d say this is straight from a BJP or RSS propaganda paper or is the noxious outburst of an ultra-right blog or Sudhir Chaudhary doing his famous DNA Test. Wrong! This is from Congress’s own propaganda paper aptly titled “Congress Darshan” – literally the vision of Congress.
This is one of those kind of mistakes that we corporate slaves call a goof up, a last minute miss, a bug leaked into production environment. But does it look like an editorial mistake or last minute miss? Not to me at least! It looks like a finely articulated opinion piece by an astute observer who chose a wrong platform called Congress Darshan to fix the History lessons which have been sullied beyond redemption by Marxist-Leninist Historians and their coordinated cabal in educational and historical research institutes of India.
Funnily, one of the biggest sycophants of the Gandhi Family, Mr. Sanjay Nirupam oversees the functioning of the Congress Darshan. He of course had no face to show. Congress seniors like Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad blamed the poor knowledge of the columnist to cover up the mistake.
Sudhir Joshi, the editor of Congress Darshan was sacked with immediate effect. Now this brings me to an inference and one conspiracy theory:
Inference: Congress is the number one killer of free speech
Although this is no Sherlock Holmes finding but it is proved again that Congress Party cannot “tolerate” free speech. When the build up to Bihar Elections was at its peak, Congress was spearheading the movement against (bogus) intolerance in India and murder of free speech, as its pet intellectuals (aptly rewarded with plum postings in government bodies and palatial mansions in Lutyen’s Delhi) cover-fired. Today the same Congress fired Congress Darshan Editor who chose to stay away from the usual hero worshipping of the Gandhis. Congress that acted as the Defence Attorney in the Tolerance V/S Modi’s India case that lasted till Bihar Elections couldn’t “tolerate” criticism. Tolerance Much!
Conspiracy Theory: Was this a well-planned and well executed plan by some Congress insiders who are probably planning a coup?
I am aware of the extremity of the extrapolation but consider this. Congress Darshan is a propaganda piece. Congress Darshan is to Congress what Kamal Sandesh is to BJP and Saamna is to Shiv Sena. Imagine a Saamna article criticizing Bala Saheb? Impossible right. Editorial mistakes cannot be this big. Also propaganda papers and magazines are mostly meant for internal circulations i.e. for the party workers. Repeated imbibition of propaganda literature turns a party worker into an unwavering adherent with steadfast loyalty to the top leaders. And when the same propaganda magazine criticizes and exposes the top leaders, it causes a dent in the loyalty and belief of the party worker. So was the Congress Darshan article a well-planned and well executed plan by some Congress insiders who are probably planning a coup? Possible. Everyone knows the leadership skills and winnability quotient of Congress’s PM in waiting, Shree Rahul Gandhi. It is also an open secret that unless the Gandhi Family has the reins in its hands, no member can even dream of reaching the top chair. At best they can become the number one, number twos and that’s pretty much it. The Congress Darshan “mistake” is too big to be ignored and so is the immediate sacking of its editor. And hence even this conspiracy theory, however shaky it is, cannot be ruled out in its entirety.
