I know this article might fall on deaf ears as Mr. Kejriwal has already given himself the “most peaceful” and the “most secular” certificate. But that would be a tragedy on these Pakistani Hindus, a small group of migrants that have escaped Pakistan and are now settled in Delhi. These Pakistani Hindus have seen the cruelest of times in Secular Republic of Pakistan. The miniscule Hindu population in Pakistan have seen their girls being abducted, converted, raped and then often sold into prostitution on a regular basis, just because of their religion, we can imagine how broken they must be inside already.
The entire state of Pakistan has turned a deaf ear and have abandoned them to live a wretched life. The society, Pakistani Hindus had trusted to protect them, has turned into vultures; preying on them, tearing them into pieces. We can’t even imagine their pains but it must have been a living hell in Pakistan for these Hindus. No wonder they say “Kill us here in India, but we won’t go back to Pakistan”
A large number of Pakistani Hindus have settled in slums in Delhi, and their inhuman treatment continues even in India. Imagine surviving the Delhi heat or braving the Delhi winters without electricity and water supplies. They can’t get jobs because they are not Indian citizens.
But it seems their desire of getting killed in India will be fulfilled soon, thanks to the blind eye the Kejriwal government has turned towards the Pakistani Hindus.
This is the same Aam Aadmi Party that took out candle vigils to protest against Israel attack on Gaza. So large hearted was the Yug Purush in showing solidarity, I almost shed a tear then. And here we have, 58 families of Hindus languishing in his own backyard – slums of Majnu ka tila, in Delhi. Modi government granted citizenship to 4300 refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan in one year and is in the process of including more.
Rajasthan, MP have accepted these groups. About 150 immigrant Pakistani Hindu doctors in Gujarat are willing to contribute to society. They have said these words repeatedly “We are ready to serve rural Gujarat, use us”.
While it may not be a technical responsibility of the Delhi Government to take care of migrants, it still is a moral obligation. But AK government is completely apathetic. In a news debate AAP spokesman was trying to save face saying they have provided some generators.
Firstly the country that their forefathers trusted failed them and now it is the turn of our own own “Insaan ka Insaan se Bhaichara” CM. Pakistani Hindus have fought to save their religion, their culture and their Identity in Pakistan. They sold every little thing they had and escaped to India with hopes brimming in their eyes. Hope for a respectable life, hope for a better life of their children, hope of being among their own, hope for love and minimum support. And when they reach India’s capital they get this step-motherly treatment. Mr. Kejriwal denied them of their last possession, hope!
CM Kejriwal invited Ghulam Ali for concert in Delhi. He showed so much love for Pakistani singers and people. Pakistani Hindus are Pakistanis too. How about showing some of that love for these helpless Pakistanis as well sir? Or are Pakistani Hindus aren’t Pakistanis?
So, what could be the fault of these poor Pakistani Hindus alienated in National Capital? Well from the top of my head I could think of only two:
- They are Hindus
- They don’t have a voter ID card
Why should Mr. Kejriwal waste his money on providing them resources when he can better utilize funds in ad campaigns that are so blatant about projecting Kejriwal as the best thing to happen to India.
In the same Delhi state, thousands of illegal Bangladeshi migrants have found a cozy home, a ration card and a voter ID too. Pakistani Hindus, we are sorry for you!
