The complaint states that she first came into contact with a Muslim man who introduced himself as “Naveen Rana” and claimed to be Hindu. She later figured out that he was actually Naved, a resident of Muzaffarnagar. In 2013, she says he called her to Delhi and then took her to a madrasa in Muzaffarnagar.
Confinement and alleged conversion
According to the complaint, the accused confined her inside the madrasa and assaulted her whenever she resisted. She complained that the group forced her to convert and pressured her into following religious practices, including wearing a burqa and offering namaz. She further reasoned that resistance triggered repeated violence and intimidation.
First marriage and allegations of abuse
She states that she was later married to Maulana Abdur Rahman, significantly older than her. The complaint says that he subjected her to repeated sexual and physical abuse and assaulted her whenever she resisted. She added that he imposed strict religious expectations throughout the marriage.
The relationship, however, ended after triple talaq was issued within a short duration.
Allegations of halala and multiple marriages
Following the divorce, she was pushed into halala-related arrangements. She was taken to Jaipur and sexually assaulted for five days in a madrasa setting. After this, she was married to Mudasir in 2015, who later died in 2019.
After his death, she was moved across different locations and forced into further marriages, including with Khalid Hussain. Later, Khalid divorced and remarried her multiple times. She also states that Khalid and his brother Saqib, gangraped her during one of these phases before she was again pushed into marriage.
Escape and police action
The woman eventually approached BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar, who assisted her in reaching the police. She filed her complaint on 5 May 2026 at Ankur Vihar police station.
Based on her statement, Ghaziabad police registered a case against 16 accused under charges including forced conversion, rape, assault, intimidation, and unlawful confinement. Police have arrested Khalid Hussain, while the investigation into the remaining accused continues.
