It is the Hindu Homeland India who accepted its muslims whole heartedly by giving their equal rights and opportunities knowing fully well that the community gave the biggest betrayal to the land by voting for partition. But it seems that nothing morally has changed for a particular community who now and then engages in activities whose roots live in deep Hindu Hatred. At the latest, Guwahati City Police, in collaboration with Kamrup Police, has arrested six individuals for sharing a video on Instagram showcasing cow slaughter. The arrests followed a complaint and subsequent investigation by the authorities.
As per the Assam Police press release, the accused were identified as Sahil Khan (20), Hafizur Islam (19), Rokibul Husain (20), Sahidul Islam (30), Izaz Khan (26), and Jahidul Islam (24). All the individuals are residents of Asalpara Village in Chaygaon, Kamrup district.

The case was registered under the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021, and Section 299/196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, 2021. These laws pertain to offences involving the slaughter of cattle and actions that hurt religious sentiments and disturb public tranquility.
The incident came to light when the video, showing the men engaging in the act of cow slaughter, surfaced online. The footage depicted the group on a riverbank carrying utensils for a picnic, dragging a calf, slaughtering it, and later preparing a meal from the meat.

The video sparked widespread outrage, prompting swift action by the authorities. A coordinated police operation led to the apprehension of the accused from their residences. It must be noted that in Article 48 of Indian Constitution under the Directive Principles of the State Policy talks about the regarding cow slaughter in India, stating that the state should actively work towards prohibiting the slaughter of cows and other milch and draught cattle.
