Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, accompanied by his wife, Priti Adani, and son, Karan Adani, attended the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj on 21st of January. The Adani family offered prayers at the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the Saraswati rivers. During their visit, Adani visited the ISKCON temple’s camp, where he actively participated in cooking Mahaprasad (sacred meals) for devotees.
It is pertinent to note that in a collaborative effort, the Adani Group and ISKCON have come together to serve meals throughout the duration of the Maha Kumbh Mela, which began on January 13 and is set to conclude on February 26. Speaking to reporters, Gautam Adani expressed his admiration for the seamless organisation of the event, attributing its success to the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh administration, sanitation workers, and police personnel.
“My experience at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh was wonderful. The management here is a subject of research for management institutes,” he said.
“Nothing is better than the blessings of Maa Ganga,” he added.
The Adani Group has also partnered with Gita Press to distribute one crore free copies of Aarti Sangrah to devotees at the fair. Sharing the announcement on X, Gautam Adani described the Maha Kumbh as a “great yagya of Indian culture and religious faith.”
He further expressed his appreciation for Gita Press, which has served the nation through Sanatan Sahitya for over a century.
“Seva is meditation, seva is prayer, and seva is God,” Adani said, emphasising the significance of selfless service and cultural responsibility as forms of patriotism.
Mahakumbh is undoubtedly the biggest religious festival in the world and celebrated every 12 years at Prayagraj, where the sacred rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge. However, the Maha Kumbh in 2025 holds a special place in history and spirituality, as it aligns with an exceptionally rare celestial phenomenon that occurs only once every 144 years.
