Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey has been in the media spotlight for several years now, more for his off the screen controversies, contentious and anti-Hindu remarks, rather than for his films. Now on 2nd December, he is again in the centre of the media attraction, this time for his cryptic Instagram post. While the majority of media have presented his post as an announcement of retirement, it won’t be a surprise if the so-called retirement post turns out to be another PR stunt aimed only to grab eyeballs.

In our last video embedded below, we narrated how Vikrant Massey did a somersault during the promotions of his film, The Sabarmati Report. Once notorious for posting and furthering anti-Hindu posts, the Bollywood actor took a sharp u-turn and overnight started portraying himself as a ‘Saffronised’ actor.
Now, several weeks after his film hit the theatres, his another off-the-screen post has created a storm in the tea cup. While the media has portrayed his cryptic social media post as “retirement”, the devil lies in the details. So, we should focus on the details mentioned in his Instagram post.

In his heartfelt Instagram post, the 37-year-old actor, Vikrant Massey shared his gratitude and future plans, stating he would meet fans “one last time” in 2025.
In his post, Massey said and i quote, “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support.”
The actor continued saying, “But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So coming 2025, we will meet each other for one last time.”
Now, let me emphasise the next line which exposes the farce of the retirement boogie. While the actor did inform his fans that they would be able to meet him, “one last time” in 2025, the next line says, “Until time deems right.”
While I am not a fortune teller, but let me categorically note here that Bollywood celebs are notorious for their flip-flops, hypocrisy and acting as an opportunist of the first order. They are famous for switching sides and exploiting the sentiments of the common masses and making ill-researched films to capitalise the prevalent ideology. They did it for over 7 decades and continue to parrot the leftist propaganda line, but when they saw the craze for proNation, pro-regional, pro-Hindu culture content, they felt no qualms in exploiting the Dharmic wave and in a way weaken it with their insincerity.
Currently, for them, the time deems right for insincere movies on Nation-first, Hindu Dharma, Islamic atrocities, conversion and much more.
This brings back to Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, who very recently took a sharp U-turn. So, for a skeptic like me, the actor’s another U-turn could be on the cards, especially in the wake of recurrent threats coming his way from Islamists.
Mind you, Vikrant Massey during a media interaction had clearly stated that he was receiving death threats for starring in the film, The Sabarmati Report. For those unversed, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ was released in theatres on 15th of November. In the movie, Massey decently portrayed the character of a journalist who went on to expose the real conspiracy behind the 2002 Godhra train massacre.
During the film’s promotion, Massey said, “Yes, I have been receiving threats. But as I said, we are artists and storytellers”, adding that they will handle it the way it needs to be.
Nonetheless, his Instagram post has triggered a social media frenzy with Bollywood stars, social media influencers creating a beeline and urging him to reconsider his retirement decision. As for now, only, time will reveal whether this would turn out to be a mini Poonam Pandey type of PR stunt or it could indeed turn out to be the case of another individual succumbing to Islamist threats.
