Ajay Sharma, associated with Sanatan Rakshak Dal, said that “in this matter, he is getting information about this entire house from the Municipal Corporation and other people. Whose house is it? When has it been closed? Who are the people living in the house, and why is worship not taking place in the temple present here?”
A Muslim family who was living in that house said that they had purchased this house from a Bengali family. However, according to locals, it is the revered Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple. UP police are conducting an investigation into the matter.
Regarding the discovery of the Hindu temple, State President of Sanatan Rakshak Dal, Ajay Sharma, said that “through a post in the afternoon on the social media platform Facebook page, he came to know that there is a temple in Madanpura area which has been closed for the last several years and is locked. I came to know about the temple only through that post.”
After getting information about the matter, police officers also reached the spot and started trying to convince them. State President of Sanatan Rakshak Dal said that when I looked there, the temple was closed. He said that after talking to the people nearby, he came to know that this temple had not been open for almost 40 years and was locked.
After which, he demanded to open the temple. State President of Sanatan Rakshak Dal says that at present, there is not much information about this temple, but information about it is being obtained from the Municipal Corporation. He says that this matter has been discussed with the Mayor and MLA, and information has been sought about it.
Dashashwamedh police station in-charge Pramod Kumar says that there is a temple that has been closed for a long time. People had arrived at the information. They have been removed after explaining. He demanded that worship be started in the temple. The case is being investigated. Efforts are being made to maintain peace at the spot.
A day earlier, on Monday, the Sambhal administration found three broken Hindu idols of Lord Ganesha, Lord Kartikey and Maa Parvati in a well near the temple, which was closed for 46 years.
This is the second instance in a week where people have found temples in the Muslim-dominated areas in UP. In fact, UP was geographically near to the Mughal Empire, and it is a well-established fact that many Hindu temples in UP have been destroyed or kept hidden by the Muslim community since then. If two temples have been found in a week, it is speculated that there must be thousands of temples hidden or partially destroyed in Muslim-majority areas.
The UP government should take decisive action in order to bring these hidden temples to light. At the same time, the Indian courts should also take suo moto cognizance of the matter to save Hindu worship places and sentiments.
