Yet another tragic case of Love jihad has come to light where a Hindu teenage girl was killed and buried by her Muslim boyfriend, who had hidden his real identity while getting close to her.
Tragically, the Hindu teenager was murdered on the festival of “Karva Chauth”, when women observe fast and pray for the long life of their husbands and partners. As per media reports, the victim was ironically observing Karva Chauth fast for her Muslim partner who tragically killed her on the same day.
According to police, the accused had impregnated her after which she wanted to marry the man, who introduced himself as ‘Sanju’ to her at the beginning of their relationship.
Sonia, a Delhi-based 19-year-old girl was active on social media and had thousands of followers. She posted pictures and videos of herself along with her boyfriend Sanju, who was later identified as Saleem, the police said, adding that she wanted to ensure a good life for her family by being active on social media platforms. As per reports, her Instagram profile declared “I love Bhoot”, a nickname she had given to the accused. However, like in a plethora of Love Jihad cases, the ‘ghost’ who hid his real identity to trap a Hindu girl, turned out to be a nightmare.
As per reports, Saleem killed and buried her along with two of his aides in Rohtak of Haryana, as the girl was insisting he marry her. She also wanted to keep the baby while the accused was against it.

The body of the deceased was dug out from a field in Rohtak, the police said, adding that the girl was seven months pregnant when she was murdered.
According to the Police, Saleem used to frequently fight with the victim over this issue. On Monday, October 21, she went to meet the accused after taking a few things from her home.
The Delhi Police got a complaint on October 23, leading to the arrest of the accused. The accused later confessed to the crime, the police said. It added that the accused admitted that he premeditated the murder and involved his friends Ritik and Pankaj in the act.
On the fateful night, as Sonia left her home with her belongings, she met the accused in the Nangloi area. He then drove her directly to Rohtak, where he allegedly strangled her and buried her body in the forests before returning to Delhi later that night.
Saleem and one of his accomplices have been held, while the other is absconding, the police added.
