Much like the character Binod Das in web series Jubilee, Kumudlal Ganguly was not conventionally attractive. However, Himanshu Rai, wary of repeating history, cast him as the replacement and gave him the name by which he would become famous—Ashok Kumar. Since then, he never looked back.
