Let’s take a ride on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS train, where Kejriwal’s commitment to the project seems to be smaller than his claim to bring free Wi-Fi on the moon. The total project cost is a hefty 30,274 crore, but the Delhi government’s (GNCTD) contribution is a measly 1,180 crore. They’ve got to be kidding, right?
But wait, the plot thickens! Despite the Supreme Court’s stern directions, a chunky 415 crore is still hanging in the air like a slogan-filled hot air balloon. It’s like pulling teeth to get the GNCTD to release funds for a project that’s been gathering dust faster than a neglected broom in the corner.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal’s advertisement spree is on a roll! In the past three fiscal years, they’ve spent a whopping 1,106 crore on ads. Must be a real treat to watch, especially during IPL breaks! But hang on, shouldn’t they be investing this in critical infrastructure projects instead? I mean, last we checked, Delhi’s transportation system isn’t powered by catchy jingles and slogans.
According to the Honorable Court’s observation, Kejriwal’s government seems to be rather choosy with their funds. They’ve got money for billboards and TV spots, but when it comes to actual infrastructure, they are singing “paise ko kya karenge, advertisement hi sahi!”
