Jack Dorsey was a foreign spy, masquerading as a tech CEO

If you’ve heard of the notion “The pot calling the kettle black”, Jack Dorsey is all set to give it a whole new meaning. The former CEO of Twitter has attempted to kick up a storm by accusing the Indian government of being dictatorial towards his enterprise. The truth however, is completely different, and something not everyone has the guts to digest.

Let’s find out why Jack Dorsey was almost a foreign spy, who apparently used his profile as a ‘Tech CEO’ for cover.

“India wanted Twitter to shut down”

In a recent conversation with the media, Jack Dorsey claimed that he was being pressurized to act against the institutions fomenting anarchism in India, failing which Twitter would ‘have to shut shop in India’. To quote him,

“India for example, India is one of the countries which had many requests around farmers protests, around particular journalists which were critical of the government, and it manifested in ways such as ‘we will shut Twitter down in India’, ‘we would raid the homes of your employees.’ ‘We will shut down your offices if you don’t follow suit’. And this is India, A democratic country”.

Truth be told, Jack Dorsey was not just a tech CEO but a foreign spy masquerading in the role. They are predicated on the notion that Dorsey maintained a covert relationship with the United States’ intelligence community while at the helm of Twitter. Recent revelations from leaked Twitter files purportedly suggest an intricate web of connections between Dorsey and the U.S. deep state, causing significant consternation among foreign powers.

1984 redux?

The concerns rise from the allegations that Twitter, under Dorsey’s leadership, operated almost as a “back office” for the FBI and its associated ecosystem. This close alignment, it is claimed, was particularly used to interfere in American elections. The criticism extended to Twitter’s handling of politically sensitive information. During the U.S. Presidential elections, Twitter was accused of suppressing news related to Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, allegedly based on Dorsey’s own political inclinations.

Additionally, Dorsey has faced criticism regarding his stance on free speech issues in countries beyond the U.S. During the Canadian protests, when the Trudeau government used drastic measures against protestors, including confiscation of bank accounts and suppression of free speech, it was alleged that Dorsey remained unaffected. As such, Jack Dorsey lamenting on lack of freedom of speech is just like Osama bin Laden lecturing on world peace.

On the other hand, India attempted to enforce its sovereign laws on Twitter, Dorsey cried foul, further fuelling suspicion about his objectivity and the platform’s role in international politics. The controversy extended to Twitter’s operations in India, with allegations of subterfuge to evade liability. Manish Maheswari, who publicly presented himself as the Managing Director of Twitter India, but reportedly disassociated himself from Twitter when it came to accepting legal responsibility. This further complicated the trust and credibility issues associated with Twitter.

The connoisseur of white lies

No wonder why this barrage of white lies was met with a fierce response. Minister of State for IT, Mr Rajeev Chandrashekhar tweeted, “This is an outright lie by Jack, perhaps an attempt to brush out that very dubious period of Twitter’s history.”

Facts and truth

Twitter under Jack Dorsey n his team were in repeated n continuous violations of India law. As a matter of fact, they were in non-compliance with law repeatedly from 2020 to 2022 and it was only June 2022 when they finally complied. No one went to jail, nor was Twitter “shut down”. Dorsey’s Twitter regime had a problem accepting the sovereignty of Indian law. It behaved as if the laws of India did not apply to it.”

The response from Indian opposition parties to this situation, however, has been anything but supportive. Critics argue that their apparent support for Dorsey, despite the controversy, reflects a colonial mindset, ready to compromise national interests for international approval and financial gains.

This controversy underscores the need for clear regulations and transparency in the operations of social media giants. The influence and reach these platforms have been immense, and their actions have global consequences.

For Indian opposition to cheer such a man, with such fraudulent past, and to support a foreign company wilfully defying Indian laws, speaks of a group of people so deeply mentally colonised that they would willingly again become the sepoys of Jallianwala again- just for a few dollars and a few paid foreign junkets.
