The movie suffered not only from the competition of “Spider-Man” but also from the unexpected success of the Telugu film “Pushpa”.
Even after all these setbacks, Ranveer Singh seems unfazed by his poor track record. His recent release “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” came and went without much fanfare, and his collaboration with Rohit Shetty in “Circus” was expected to revive his career, but it had the opposite effect. The film failed, and Rohit Shetty’s previous successful streak was brought to a halt.

Initially, the film was slated for release in December 2022, but it was pushed to 28th April. However, when it was revealed that the highly anticipated second season of Mani Ratnam’s “Ponniyan Selvan” was also set for release on the same day, the release date of Ranveer’s film got pushed to July, which is not good news for his image and career.
