Karthik Aryan film: There is no clear-cut path or roadmap for success. Though it is true that artists are advised not to get stereotyped in certain genres as it can be fatal for their long-term cinematic career, But there are actors like Ayushman Khurrana who have started to ruin their good cinematic runs on account of an earlier notion of “breaking the stereotype.”
The recent failure of Shehzada the film of Karthik Aryan suggests that he, too, has failed in many of his endeavours due to his poor and inconsistent script selection in the compulsion of experimentation.
Law of diminishing returns
There is no doubt that to become an established actor or acting legend, one has to prove his or her versatility in different genres and in various forms. But several Actors miss the concept of the law of diminishing returns. as actors continue to choose scripts that do not suit their image. The marginal increase in their stardom on account of their freedom to venture into new genres begins to decrease. With time, audiences become less interested in their films, and their overall appeal as a star erodes very quickly.
Last year, when the entire Bollywood industry struggled to produce quality films, Karthik Aryan was one of the few actors who saved the industry’s reputation with successful releases like “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and “Freddy.” But now his stardom is at risk because of his inconsistent choice of scripts.

His recent film “Shehzada” has failed miserably at the box office. The reason, however, is not that it is the Hindi remake of “Ala but due to poor script selection. The film lacked the carefree character that the official movie had in the role of Bantu, played by Allu Arjun. In the Hindi adaptation, Karthik Aryan was too focused on being family-friendly.
However, this inconsistency in choosing scripts is not a new thing; rather, it has been a persistent problem throughout his career.
Strike a balance
After giving a hit in the form of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” Karthik Aryan did a short story called “Silvat,” in which he played the role of a tailor named Anwar. Then he made another poor choice with “Guest in London” and “Love Aaj Kal 2.0.” In the meantime, he did films like “Luka Chuppi” and “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,” his textbook style of films.

Avoiding typecasting roles is important, but Kartik needs to strike a balance between versatility and staying true to his core strengths. With his upcoming film “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” it will be seen whether he has corrected his past mistakes and done more work on choosing the correct script.
Otherwise, his poor script selection would result in his decline, which is exactly what is happening to Ayushman Khurana. He has tied himself in knots with too much experimentation.
