Authorities in Haryana unearthed a stillborn baby’s body on Sunday and sent it for an autopsy. This development is connected to the purported charge of cattle smugglers Junaid and Nasir’s demise. To determine the child’s cause of death, the police have sent the child’s remains for an autopsy.
On Friday night, February 17Shrikant’s home in the Nuh area of Haryana was raided by Rajasthan police and it led to all the chaos that sent sensation down the spine of millions of Indians.
The whole case
This week, the burned remains of two men identified as Nasir and Junaid from the Rajasthani village of Ghatmika in Bharatpur were discovered near the Haryana town of Bhiwani.
One day prior to the remains being found, the families of Nasir and Junaid of Ghatmika reported their missing relatives to the police. According to the relatives, the two were kidnapped and killed after burning.

There are a total of five people implicated in this case, including Shrikant. Nasir and Junaid’s relatives claim that they are all Bajrang Dal members.

Everyone was allegedly asleep, but that did not stop the police from forcing Shrikant’s parents to open the gate. Upon learning that the culprit was not at home, the Rajasthan police allegedly stormed the scene and assaulted the family members.

The cops ruthlessly shoved Shrikant’s mother Dulari and his nine-month pregnant wife, leaving them all injured – his mother, wife, and the unborn baby. While raiding Shrikant’s room the police brutally kicked the door of Shrikant’s room, which mercilessly smashed into his pregnant wife, leading to the death of the child in her womb.
“My daughter-in-law reported having an excruciating stomach ache. We transported her to the hospital straight away, where physicians worked on her to revive my deceased grandchild. My grandchild had stopped breathing and was bleeding inside womb.” The ordeal was described by Dulari.
The Haryana police opened an investigation, SP (Nuh) Varun Singla told PTI about the situation when speaking about it. “We have exhumed the body of a stillborn baby today and kept it in the mortuary.” He further added, “Postmortem will be conducted by Monday (February 20) by a board of doctors.”
The Rajasthan police defended themselves by saying they visited Shrikant’s home but did not step inside.
“The accused was not present. His two brothers had come out of home and they were freed after questioning. The allegations levelled by the woman are false. Their family member is accused, that is why they are levelling allegations.” Claimed SP Shyam Singh (Bharatpur).
No matter what the circumstances might be, police officers should have been mindful of the fact that the person they are dealing with was a nine-month pregnant woman, and should have handled the situation with sensitivity.
