Digvijay Singh in Sodalpur: Congress is a sinking ship marred with infighting, and the state of Madhya Pradesh has shown Congress its place in the electoral domain of the country. As Madhya Pradesh approaches the next assembly elections, the party seems to be already surrendering without even fighting. This time the fortunes of the party
Digvijay Singh went to calm the storm
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had arrived in the Sodalpur village of Timarni assembly constituency to address the party workers. While he was on stage teaching the party leaders the importance of discipline, two groups got into a fist fight. Singh was on the stage, attempting to motivate the office-bearers of Mandalam of Timarni. The seat holds importance as the party has been facing defeat in the seat for the previous four assembly elections.
During speech of Digvijay Singh, two groups of the Congress led by Pratap Rajput and Anil Verma got into a verbal fight and started abusing each other. Gradually, the fight escalated, and there began a physical fight while all that Singh could do was watch from aside. The fight escalated so much that the party workers from the two factions threatened to kill each other.

The state of political affairs in Madhya Pradesh
The people of Madhya Pradesh have not forgotten the Scindia chapter, which describes how Jyotiraditya Scindia did all the groundwork and led the party to victory. Later, Scindia was sidelined, and Kamalnath was handed the CM chair on a silver platter.
Scindia, along with his supporters, later joined the Bhartiya Janata Party and is currently serving as the Union Aviation Minister. The same story is being told in Chachora, which is said to be Digvijay Singh’s impregnable fortress. But now, former MLA Harbhajan Singh Meena’s daughter-in-law, Priyanka Meena, has joined the BJP along with her supporters.
